The rumor about the DSi getting a VC has surfaced again

Via Kotaku

Supposedly in a recent Club Nintendo meeting Nintendo announced that the DSi was getting its own Virtual Console where players can download Game Boy and Game Boy Advance titles to an SD card. As of right now these would only be first party, but other developers may also support the VC in the future.

The idea of a DSi Virtual Console makes a whole lot of sense to me, carrying old favorites around with you seems like a great idea and I hope Nintendo confirms this.

Thoughts?

I really hope so. Right now, I don't have either of the earlier versions of DS, so I'm trying to decide if it's worth getting a DSi or not. It would be fun for the downloadable games and stuff, but the lack of GBA slot has put me off, because that's a big feature of the DS I wanted to make use of. If they do this, then it could more than make up for that for me, and make it more than worth the money. I also hope that 3rd party companies to support it as well, because as much as I'd love seeing the 1st party games, there are a few 3rd party games that I would want to play as well. Hope that this will be an announcement sometime soon, with either GDC or E3.

SD cards can be found just about anywhere examples Best Buy, Walmart (probably by the cameras), Target, K Mart (if anyone still goes there). SD cards are very accessable and can be found in a lot of places.

This is like the 15th post about this.

They have all been locked because there is a stickied DSi Thread.

I'm sorry, but I only counted 1 other thread concerning this topic made by Killgore, you even seem to have the last comment in that locked thread.
But you're right, it appears Killgore has already covered this topic, and DSi discussion of all kinds should be kept to the DSi Discussion Thread.

I wasn't aware of the previous thread before I made this one, and I made this thread to more effectively spread the "news". Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. :)
