Heres a link: http://wii.ign.com/articles/764/764007p1.html

Even though its only a rumor as of now, I think this game could do well with the Wii controls. In the game, you use a paintbrush so you can paint things like bombs to effect your surroundings and against enemies. Quess what you could use as the paintbrush. Wii remote=paintbrush. Great idea. I played the game onhe PS2 and it is crazy! Crazy like one of the best games ever next to Zelda: TP. I think Okami would make a great home on the Wii. Look at other games that were great on the previous-gen systems and than were ported to the Wii with better features: Zelda: TP from gamecube and Dragonball Z BT2 from PS2.

Same here. I never got around to buying this on PS2 but if it arrives on the Wii then I would get this.

Who made Okami? Clover right? I heard they're not a company anymore... Maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Yes you are right

but they moved to Capcom

Thanks, that means Capcom has the rights to the game now I assume, and Capcom seems a bit iffy on the Wii as of right now...

They are, so we can only hope they realize this could be easy money.

I already own it for the PS2, so I'm not sure if I would re-buy it. The controls would work great, though.

I think it would be very smart for them to bring Okami to the wii. The control scheme makes alot of sense, and you know people would be all over it. On top of that (like they said in the IGN article) alot of Clover studio people will be making thier way over to Capcom, so it won't be very difficult to port it to the wii.

This is great news, even if it's just a rumor right now.

Well they would have to add even more to it for me to buy, I mean I already own it on the PS2 and I'm going to need more than just a few interactive brushstrokes IF it is ever a possiblity. I did love Okami though and would welcome and updated version on the Wii. But it will be tough with Clover closed right?

The only reason why Capcom is iffy with Wii is because the really tried to bring cool and unique games to Gamecube and despite critical acclaim they didn't sellt hat well.
