Alright this isn't the Gameboy Colour anymore, the 3DS has its own memory. We should be able to have saves on the system itself too. Having it on the game cartridge I'll admit is nice sometimes when you want to use another system for whatever reason but these games are incredibly thin and small making them easy to lose and I would want a backup, when I have spent many hours on a game I would hate for it to be a waste by it falling through a crack. Agree or disagree?

Cloud saves would be nice too, although I don't see that happening until Nintendo's next handheld (if then).

SD cards/memory cards are thin and small as well. If you lose that, you lose all data from every game you own. :P

Backup would be great, but I doubt we'll see it for the 3DS. Keep your games in a safe place and try not to lose them.

Saved data is stored on the game card. Only extra data (like photos or streetpass info) is stored on the SD card. Nothing is stored on the system itself.

I was suggesting an idea, not asking if the 3DS does it.

Well I am saying it should be on both the game card and the SD card because honestly how often do you take out the SD card unless you are using it at that exact moment?

I guess it'll be useful for those who are extra cautious and do not mind buying large SD cards. It should be optional though.

It would be nice. And seeing that some retail games will be digitally distributed (Unchained Blades and New Super Mario Bros. 2) it's obvious that their saves will be on the system itself. It seems 'tsili' to not let cartridge games not be saved on the SD Card.

Yeah it won't happen nintendo seems dead set against letting first party games with online play have multiple space files(brawl strated this) honestly s so much to ask i don't have to buy 2 copies of pokemon or a game genie to get more then 1 save file?

With some games you could just delete your save data and start over but pokemon is definetly the type of game you dont want to do that with. The same with brawl i wanted to delete my data and get some of the unlockables again then restore my save after that(i id like 8 times in melee added a little more replay to playing it alone)

I know, I am so scared about my Pokemon games! I have a decade (an ******* stole my Gold years ago) of Pokemon I have built up and to lose all of it just by losing a little game would just be the ultimate rage.
