I have a few Wii games that I don't think I will have time to play, or that I will miss if I get rid of them.  Where is the best place to sell them?  I looked at Amazon trade in, and they would only give $35 for Metroid Prime Trilogy, and the rest were $6 or less (pikmin 1 and 2).  Any suggestions on where to get the best deal?  Thanks.

Ebay. Trading in anywhere is usually a ripoff, Craigslist will also be nothing but lowball offers.

Thanks for the replies.  I'll look closer at Amazon.

Using Ebay will get you in the area of $100 for MPT. That's where I sell all of my games that aren't of interest to me and normally I do very well.

You can still Craiglist them, you'd definitely get more than in trade-ins.

You would get more on Ebay, but there's a charge for everything (the listing, the percentage fee for selling a game, the Paypal cut to transfer from Paypal to your bank account, etc..) , it's between 20 to 25% of the final price in fees (I calculated it about a year ago, I think it's close to 23% in total fees from final price sold). Oh yeah, you have to ship them as well, and if it's in a different country, you have to fill up customs forms for shipping (not too complicated, but still more work).

- I'd list Metroid Prime Trilogy at least for 80$ MINIMUM (I'd list it at 100$, since it's in demand and often sells on Ebay over 120$ (as long that it's complete and in very good contition). It's not a price written in stone, but there would be very little negociation.

- Both Pikmin's you'd get a lot less. They sell them in a lot of stores used for 15$ each. Not as much in demand and you can still find Pikmin 2 (wii edition) brand new. Also, the Mini Wii has a package including Pikmin 2. If I wanted to sell them and someone offered me 20$ for both, it's a done deal. More likely someone will try to lowball you hard on these. The first game's a little more difficult to find than the second.

And lowballers, they can still try. I wouldn't even respond to someone offering me 20$ for Metroid Prime Trilogy. Seroius offer for the bunch should be close to 100$. I'd probably say yes to 90$ for the bunch.

Wish you the best selling these games for value, you just need to find the right buyer. Start worrying about selling these only after a couple of weeks posted on craigslist.

The best sale value I got from my posts in the past had no price tag on it (received many offers, and sold it to the highest offerer, which was very close to full value).

This guy seems to know his stuff, it's definitely a lot of price matching to see what the best sales value is. Best of luck to you man :)

Thanks! Sold a lot of my games from my collection, I had too much. Sometimes I would list them for sale, sometimes I'd go to a specialty store and get credit to buy another game. I'd always go to a couple of stores to get an idea, but most often than not they give you less than what you can get (they do have to make money they say). Pointers for trading games towards store credit: if you have a game in demand or a very valuable game, negotiate, some stores are lowballers too (I'd say most of them). Yeah, do check current prices online to give you an idea. Also check what sells : completed listings option on Ebay is one of the best ways to check that out. Select this option on the left hand side and check only what has been sold (prices will be green in color). Not always easy to determine prices on Ebay, since they're some exaggerated prices sometimes, but looking at sold items gives you a really good idea what the Fair Market Value is towards items. Here's a couple of places to check besides Amazon and Ebay. - Rarity guide : not always up to date, but this website lists how rare a game is. As it usually goes, rare means $$$$. - Craigslist, Kijiji and other classified websites : Do check the competition out before listing. If you want to sell, you should almost never list higher than someone else for the same thing : 2 exceptions: - the other's in worst condition than yours - seller has no clue of value. - Specialty game stores: Check them out to see what prices they sell used games and consoles. Most of the companies show their prices and inventory online. Does look like a lot to check, but once you know where to look, checking out prices takes a snap. I've got over 200 games in my collection (I had up to 500 games a couple of years back). Checking out prices, store credits, etc... got me to own a Wii U without having to spend a dime (same with the purchase of two pro controllers and 10 other games). Check what's on sale, store promos,etc... Anyway, all depends what you want to do with the money, if it's to buy more games, check a couple of stores for what they give you in credit (it happened to me at times, when they gave me almost as much in credit than what I was selling it for, don't forget to negotiate when you can.

Thanks for your help.  I've never used ebay or amazon to sell anything.  I've only used craigslist a few times, and it can be an interesting experience.  I think I'll try craigslist for a bit, and then go to amazon if I don't get what I feel is fair.  For me, the goal is to get more than a trade-in would give me, but to sell the games for less than buying used at gamestop or somewhere similar.  I think that is what makes both parties happiest in the end.  The seller gets more return, and the buyer gets a great deal.  That's the goal anyway.  I'll see how it turns out in the end.
