so i hadnt used my wii for like a month and a half and just plugged it back in yesterday for ssbb

for some reason the stupid remote wont register on screen when i stand direcly in front, move around and try different things

but yet if i aim it in the opposite room at my microwave it reflects and manages to go mabe 80 feet there and back and that picks up

this makes absoloutely no sense to me. anyone else had any issues? its the standard sensor bar

i called nintendo he tried to tell me its because i used the nyko rechargable packs and that fried the remote. dont make sense to me since it still works just off the reflection

Your remote is fine as you said, it still registers the light. I know that this may be a dumb question, did you try to check that the cable for the sensor bar is plugged all the way in?

I'm sorry, but that makes no sense at all. Anyway, the game does not need the sensor bar to work properly. Or could it be that you still think that the Wiimote is busted?

I know it may be a silly question, but is your Wii software still setup for placement of your sensor bar in relation to your TV? i.e. above tv vs. below tv?

I've had this trouble too. What I did to fix this was uplug the power at the Wii. If that doesn't work try all the things on this link: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/wiiremote.jsp Also have you tried it with other wii remotes. Hope it helps.

Do you have any experience with a soldering gun? You can always try and open up the sensor bar and check that things are all plugged in perfectly. I doubt that LEDs have gone out, but then again it is possible. Maybe the cable at one point is bent too much and not making contact. If you have a multi meter reader, you can always check for continuity and go from there.
