Hi all.

Just recently got a Wii, and I've been enjoying it immensely (with Super Smash Bros Brawl of course...). But I have a question regarding an annoyance I've been having...

Right now, SSBB has been the only Wii game I've really played. I have Twilight Princess and Wii Sports as well, but I haven't played them too much yet- cause the Sensor bar leaves a LOT to be desired. I have the hold the remote almost at point blank range just to get the cursor on the menus to work.

So does the power/range of the sensor bar relate to battery power? Or is the sensor bar really this weak? I've also heard about plugging the sensor bar into the console- but I don't think I got the necessary cables for that...

Are you saying that you did not plug in the sensor bar that came with the Wii? And You expect the pointer function to work? Wii comes with all the needed cables, maybe you really should take time to read the setup instructions.

Uh...read the manual. The sensor bar has a cord on it. That cord plugs into the Wii. Place the sensor bar either below or above your television.

If you're ever this confused about something, you should always consult the manual.

Connect the bar to the Wii with the cables that should've been included and stand about 3 feet back. It should work perfectly fine

What plug?!? Is this plug attatched to the sensor or is it seperate?

I got my Wii from someone else, so if the plug is seperate, I might not have recieved it.

If the plug comes attatched to the sensor though- which the instructions seem to show- then where is this plug? I don't see it... Is it hidden in the battery compartment or something?

Double post...

I think I've figured out my problem- I'm probably going to need a new sensor bar, cause I don't think I have the necessary cables. When I got my Wii, I don't recall seeing anything like the cables that are shown attatched to the sensor bar...

I still want to know just to be sure- does the sensor bar come pre-attatched to these cables- or are they seperate?

Attached to your sensor bar threw the back of it a gray thin wire that is long has a tip outlined orange plugs into the back of the system, or your friend gave you a wireless sensor bar that may take batteries try changing that

Ugh, sorry for the triple post.

Anyway, I didn't know the Wii already had a wireless sensor bar... I looked it up at Amazon and sure enough, that's the one I have.

So if I switch its batteries- it should work fine- right?

Or, as King613 says, it may be a wireles sensor bar which needs batteries.Sancroff

Double post again- I'm kinda rushed right now.

Anyway, that explains it. I'll just switch my sensor bar's batteries and it should work fine.

Thanks!

EDIT: But wait- I remember trying that on/off switch. It's got an off position, a 1 hour position, and a 2 hour position. Thing is- the blue light on the sensor never turns off... Does that mean its always on?
