The games are high quality, and if you are a gamer, that should be the selling point. I don't travel much, but play DS a ton. It's a purchase you should be making.

I have never played my DS in public in the year and a half that I have owned it. Not once, and it has been well worth it.

I rarely ever play my DS in public places. Yes, it's a portable system, but that doesn't mean it's just for on the go. The DS has so many awesome games that it would be a shame to miss out on it.

Plus, portables come in handy too! How many of you have tried to take your Wii into the toilet with you? (lol puns)

I play my DS mostly at home. Its not like if you buy a handheld system you can ONLY play it on the go.

I didnt really buy the DS for it's portable "feature" but for the games. And games that you enjoy are fun almost anywhere comfortable/suitable, the added portability is just icing on the cake =)

I have never had mine leave the house, I only play it at home. Yes its protable, and I could leave the house with it but

I choose not too. The best part is nobody is telling me to get off the TV.

Hi Jakob!

I would buy a DS for home use only. I use my lite only when I am home. I have a phat one that I travel around with. The decision is even easier when you look at all the great games that are out already for the DS, and/or are coming out soon. :)

yeah dude. The games are pretty quality. I only bring mine out of the house for car trips when I'm not driving. I mostly play in bed because I stay up late but my fiancee sleeps better when I'm next to her. Kills three birds with one stone. Plus, it's kind of a chick magnet. She picks it up a decent amount too. Sims and Times Crosswords and a few others. It's been a good investment for sure.

I use mine mostly at home. But its great to have the portability for when you do want it (going to friends to play multiplayer games - long trips - long waits - school - playing anywhere in your house or outside). But even if you ever only play it while sitting on your couch in the living room - it is still great!

If you play it at home you can watch TV and play video games at the same time. Now that's multitasking!

I actually, play Ds, raid on an MMO, watch tv and are involved in some conversations on both msn and Vent, at the same time xD don't ask me how i do that, but i'm very grateful for the "sleep" mode the Ds has!

Lol, that's a great pun. Yeah, go for a DS. I bring mine with me on the go...but I hardly ever break it out and play it. I listen to the ipod instead.

i agree. not just with that quote, but with pretty much every post for that matter. but there are lots of games for it, and its stands a lot better chance of not getting screwed up when it never leaves the house. plus..i really agree with that point about not having to get off the TV.. well said.
