Sheesh, is the demo for RE Revelations really that short?!

I'm excited to play Revelations! But the demo didn't do anything for me. The graphics were superb, the controls were great, and I loved the suspense. It did feel like old school Resident Evil. However, it felt like we got a demo for the... demo. Hahaha. It was just so short! But at least it did give us an idea on how the game will be, I suppose...

Yeah it certainly was on the short side, Hell mode more than made up for it though. It's a great difficulty level for hardcore Resi players. Did you try it out?

Ohh, okay. No wonder. I always shut down my system after I see 'Thank You For Playing". And has anyone been successful at scanning the creatures 100 percent? Does anything happen?

Don't worry they said that the game is roughly the same length as previous Resident Evil games so it's not so short

I think when you scan an enemy for 100%, it allows you to damage an enemy more, but I don't know for sure. I think it felt like it took less shots to kill the ooze, but I could be wrong.

I've been hearing it's pretty lengthy on reviewers who are still playing the game and giving updated previews. We'll have to wait and see though, but it does have RAID mode and the single player campaign, and unlockables, so it may be worth multiple playthroughs. My guess is probably around 10 hours or maybe more, like most RE titles.

I have played it twice and died both times. I wonder how much farther I had to go before I completed it.

Since when 10 hours is considered a lenghty game???

You can scan different kinds of stuff, once you hit 100% you get a free green herb and it loops back around so you can scan up to 100 again.

10 hours isn't bad for a game like Revelations, plus there is still Raid Mode.

Alot of demos are short. No surprise. But the Revelations demo in RE:Mercenaries was insultingly short with only 3 enemies. This new demo is a step up compared to that and I was happy from what I saw.

The demo was long enough for me. It not only demonstrated the mechanics and feel of the game but it also gives you just enough of a taste to want to continue playing it when it comes out in a couple of weeks. All that and a unlockable difficulty level to play the demo for a second time around? It worked for me.

And what exactly is that type of game Revelations is that 10 hours is enough for it?

Action adventure. Around 10 hours for SP is a decent amount.

10 hours on an action/adventure game is plenty. Plus frankly, RE games are never long... They've always maybe been 15 hours most if you count dying or something in the game, but RE games can also be beaten in just a couple of hours at most too. If you learn that you don't need to fight every enemy after you, and learn to just run and combat only when necessary, you'd realize it's not a very long game. For me, 10 hours for a portable RE game would be perfect, and since the game has unlockables, RAID mode, and StreetPass to keep me entertained I'm sure for long enough.

I thought it was perfect really. Shows just enough to give you a feel of things without giving too much away. I'd rather play the bulk of it for the first time when I actually have the game! It's also nice to have a small file that is quick to DL.

You can change it through the settings.
