Has anyone bought this on the VC yet? If so, could you tell me if it's a hard game? I want something that's challenging and if this game is that, then I will buy it.

I had this game on my Sega Genesis. Get it now! One of the greatest genesis games ever made. If your into stratedgy RPGs like Fire Emblem and such this game is amazing even now I still think its the best of its kind. I downloaded it on VC right when I saw it, one of my greatest VC wishes. Now I want them to release Earthbound on SNES already damnit!!!

I think you mean Jogurt who isis a rodent-like creature who, for an unknown reason, wears a helmet. He is completely useless in combat, and was included in the game merely for comic reasons. He joins you via a secret passage in the chapel of Pao.

Do get it it's one of the best games of all time, but you will need to add some of your own rules to make it hard. I often play it through on my mega drive with rules like only reviving one character per battle or paying an extra amount og gold to revive people just to make it harder.

It's really time consuming and I'd say it offers a good challenge. Last time I played it was over 10 years ago and I can remember many of the battles being quite challenging.

Its not as challenging as most strategy enthusiasts would like...but its old, so wut do u expect. Hoever its still a great game and has many similarities to the Fire Emblem games. Hope that helps! Its worth the money along with ActRaiser....

I have the GBA version of this game and it's awesome. It's almost as good as a Fire Emblem game.

The archers aren't neccessary weak they just have to be used correctly. If i recall correctly (echanted arms reference) i used then in my second row on the flanks where they can attack from a distance without geting hit in return. Man i loved that series. If onlySEGA re-released shining force 3 and part 2 on the Wii i would pwn myself.
