I dont know why but no one is talking about them even though they are huge titles and they have been released today. if it is possible i would like to hear your review and opinion on one of them ( or both :P) .

I'm watching Shinobi myself, hoping it will be good. I already played Cave Story twice so not sure I want the 3D version yet.

unfortunatley cave story came out the same day as skyrim and we have zelda and mario land in 7 days (in europe at least). it was a really bad time to release this. it should have been a launch title on the 3DS instead. i do intend to get it mind as the game is great and i want to support the devs. but the wallet...its already spent. hell i may need to sell my wallet :S.

Hopefully i'll have Cave Story tomorrow morning. I've been looking forward to it for some time. It definitely doesn't have the best release window, but i've been sold since it was first announced.

I picked up Cave Story (for the first time) and am enjoying it so far. Three small complaints however.

I waited for the 3DS release to check this title out figuring the 3D version would be the best one. Turns out the 3D might actually detract from the experience in two ways. Complaint number one is that hidden items seem to be even more difficult to locate with additional 3D images in the background to draw your sight away from what you should be looking at. Complaint number two is that the 3D gives what is actually a 2D game a sense of depth so that you feel like you should be able to move in directions you are not actually able to move it.

Granted those are two minor complaints (the third is that the game just flat out feels small but I guess that is to be expected since this was originally a Wiiware game) but otherwise it does have that nice old school vibe going for it and is exceptionally fun to play.
