Should I bother playing MP3 even though I haven't played the second one?

Now that Lair has turned out to be a dud, I need something to play, but I haven't been following the Prime series too closely...

it doesn't matter if you haven't played mp2 before. its guaranteed a fun first person shooter. its pretty easy to understand the story even without playing mp2.

I only played the first half of the first prime and I am loving MP3. I strongly recommend you get it. The story is stand alone so you wont feel out of place.LProjektST

hey i didn'tplay MP2 either and i playing MP3now and i'm lovin it so far besides do u really want 2 spend mony on part2 just so u can buy MP3 and understand whats going i mean part 2 is old and wouldn't brother trying 2 go find MP2

(but thats just me:))
