ah man. this is a tough one. Wind Waker is probably the most imaginative Zelda ever made (with the art style and everything) however Metroid Prime one is one of the best action adventure games ever made. it really depends on you taste of pacing in games. Metroid Prime has a slower pacing (unless you know what to do, then the game moves blazingly fast) while Wind Waker has a steady pace throughout. Metroid Prime has more replay value (seeing as its fun trying to unlock all the suit and weapon expansions) while Zelda is more memorable. its a tough call. but i think i would go with Wind Waker as i found it to be more varied in its gameplay style. but when you get the chance check them both out.

Okay then, I guess things HAVE changed...Instead of an extremelly short adventure game being hated, it is now loved!

Honestly, haven't played either, seeing as I've never been a fan of either series (I can never get into the games) but I loved the short time I played Windwaker.

Wind Waker looks more imaginative and creative, but I haven't got it or played it yet. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is a great game, I have it. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption does get a bit hard, but it's lots of fun!

I can't really tell you which one to get as I haven't played Wind Waker, but I can tell you that Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will be a great purchase. I don't think you can go wrong with either of them!

WW is alot of exploring etc. If you want all action go with Metroid. I liked WW better.

Wind Waker is a lot of fun and very creative in it's style, but short.

Metroid Prime has some backtracking and can be hard, but is epic on all levels.

Tough pick, but it's yours.

Wind Waker! Metroid Prime is also an incredible game with loads of atmosphere and incredible immersion factor. But Wind Waker is just pure fun with lots of exploring, flashy combat, and clever puzzles.

Wind Waker by far dude. It is extremely good, lively, and addicting. Took me a long time to beat it though. Nevertheless, it is much better than andy Metroid Prime game even though the MP games are extremely good themselves.

ooo this is a toughie. I'd probably go for WW because if you buy MP you'll probably want to end up buying MP2 and then you'd be spending more money. If money isn't a problem though, buy both (or all 3).

I'd say Wind Waker (bias).

If you've only played Metroid Prime 3 but not the predecessors you might have a hard time, while on the other end of the spectrum, Wind Waker is still easy to get into the groove of things.

That's easy: both. After RE4 and ToS (imho), they were probably the two best games on the Gamecube. If you want to know where to start, Metroid Prime is the cheaper one at Gamestop.

It really does depend on your tastes, of course.

But, without knowing anything about a person, i would always recomend Prime before WW. WW is a brilliant game, but Prime is the greatest game from last generation. Everyone should play that game.

If it helps though, what are you feeling like? Some action adventure with a wonderfully colourful artstyle(WW), or a first person game with emphasis on exploration and atmosphere(Prime)?

If you could only get one, I'd go with Metroid Prime which IMO is the greatest GC game ever made. It brought the revolutionary 3d style to the Metroid series with insanely awesome boss fights and just right difficulty. It has the best graphics technically proficient graphics (The Windwaker gets the best artistic). It really sucks you in and makes you feel a part of the game.

get mp.

its innovative and the best thing to happen to nintendo for a while. you'll have so much fun and some parts are challenging and will probably piss you off. which i love about games like that because it makes you want to keep trying.

then you can go out and get mp2 and then mp3 and finish up the story. you'll have a lot of fun.

i like zelda games but windwaker did nothing for me.

I have to say that you have asked a question that is very difficult to answer.

How about this idea. Save up your money until you can afford both.

You said you wanted both anyways, so why not get both at the same time?

In the future, please use the game recommendation thread at the top of the forum for questions like this. Thanks!
