You should be alright. The other two prime games had pretty self contrained stories. You might benifit a little by playing the first two, but the game should be relativly accessible to people who are new to the series.

Whats so confusing about shooting things that come at you? But yea...go ahead and get this because i haven't finished the first 1 due to long terms of not playing and memory loss so i dont remember what my next task was or anything like that.

In the long run you may want to play at least the first one first, cause once you play 3 going back to the old controls it painful. But MP3 is a must buy for the Wii regardless

I played one and two, and pretty much got nothing out of it. had NO idea what was going on. However with the characters and dialouge in 3, (Wow is that really voice acting i hear!?) It's quite enjoyable and understandable. get it.

Yeah I'm so excited it has voice acting. That is what made Kotor so good. When my game scratched to the point where dialogs were broken but still able to read I stopped playing that game. It was never the same. Yes dialog in this game is a good thing.

I never played 1 or 2 but I just got Hunters (HATED IT!) and picked up Corruption because of my pre-order. Corruption is awesome though. The story really isn't too continuous from Echoes so I'm faring well.

Just as long as it's never Samus, Link, or Mario talking I'm fine with VO work.

Get it; you won't regret anything. I've played the hell out of the first one but I haven't even finished the 2nd one yet, and I absolutely loving MP3.

Personally, I think that its better if you haven't played the previous two games in the series, as MP3 compared to MP and MP2 is, in my opinion, a degradation. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but...its missing the wonder and amazement of the first two IMO. I guess it's because of retro's attempt to appeal to a wider audience (perfectly understandable), much like Bethesda's altering of Morrowind's system to make Oblivion more mainstreamed. Alas, if you haven't played the first two, that won't matter much. Get it and enjoy :)
