U BOUGHT THE GAME AND WANT TO GIVE BACK BEFORE EVEN TRYING IT? possibly ill be modded for using caps...
anyway, everybody say the game is awesome, including reviewers, and if u felt like spending ur hard erned money on it, u must have felt that the game is good. i say try it on.
I've never understood people who buy games and then return (or think about returning) it without even playing it. Why did you purchase it if you didn't want it? And you've already paid for and brought it home so you might as well try it.
Anyway it's Advance Wars. If you liked the previous ones then you will like this. And if you're new give it a try, it's a very good game.

[QUOTE="Impex"]Spent 30 of my hard earned dollars, is it worth it (for those of you who own it)?DSfanatic5
Let me get this straight. You already bought a game, on your own judgement, but you're not sure if you should open it? Are you retarded? The last time I came across such an indecisive lamo was.....well....today, when a doofus walked into my work and asked me if we had Mario Galaxy on the Xbox 360. Why would anyone waste the time and effort on buying a game, and then log into a public forum to decide whether or not they should open it? Open it! Waste it! Lose your money! Or simply don't buy crap games. Does mommy pay somebody to whipe your behind? Grow up and make decisions for yourself, or do what 99.9% of other gamers do, and research the games before you buy them. Open your crap game already.
Dude, it ws just a question, it's not worth calling someone retarted over
should of never brought it if your not gonna open it. lamadoo
do you do this everytime you buy a game?
...you like, an impulse buyer or something.

Imagine you live far away from eb, and it takes you an hour to get there. When you get there you see that there are no games that you are 100% sure you would like; But if you dont buy anything it feels like you just wasted your time driving to eb. So you buy a game.. And when you get home you question your decision.
Now do you guys understand why someone would ask this kind of question?

And u do that just so you can waste more time driving back to return the game? xD
I've bought 1 or 2 games on impulse and regretted, and since then i make sure i do more research before making a decision...
Reading up more on games on the internet is a great way to save yourself the trouble of deciding what to buy next time =)
Anyway, Days of Ruin is a great game and there's no question to whether it should be opened or not, caused it's really worth it.foreversai
I have played plenty of games that I thoroughly enjoyed, that sound boring when I read reviews of the games. So you can't believe everything you read on the internet.
He bought it, now he's seeing the less than AAA reviews, and wants to know from those of us who've played it if it's still a good buy. That's the kind of thing these boards are for, right?
What's the problem with you people? A bunch of immature Internet-tough guys calling people retarded and stupid for no good reason (I'm not sure if there's every really a good reason to call someone "retarded." People like you give forums a bad name, and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Learns some manner and get some cl@ss (I can't believe how bad the GS censor is.)
And to answer the original question, yes, I feel that it is, but I'm a huge Advance Wars fan. It is disappointing that some key features were removed, but the core of the game is still so good that's it's better than most other strategy games out there. The worst of the Advance War games is like saying the least beautiful swimsuit model. I think you'll still enjoy it!
I don't know why stupid questions like this last so long while my great ideas and questions usually only get one reply then die.
Maybe it lasted so long because it is so stupid. Maybe mine arn't stupid enough? Maybe next time I will mispell a few easy words, just to see what hapens..... sigh.:(
[QUOTE="ta11on"]If you already have it then why not open it? You collect games?Impex
Yeah I have a whole wall...
I meant should I keep it or return it.
There are plenty of people who do collect and have tons of unopened games.
Why'd you buy it if you weren't sure if you wanted to play it?

People only like to only read the threads title and with one line answers.
I'm a fan of the series, so my opinion is a little biased. I like the games, and now that they've turned down the CO powers I'll love it even more. The problem is I'm a little short on cash, but if I had a copy...I sure wouldn't hesitate to open it up and try it out.
Plus if your worried you'll regret your purchase...you might regret not playing it after you return it. I don't know about you, but I'd rather regret experience as to the lack thereof.
I guess if you dont have dual strike already. I'm not getting DoR because I already have DS.Minishdriveby
That's like saying you won't be getting Super Mario Galaxy because you already have Super Mario Sunshine... Well, it's your call.
I haven't played Days of Ruin (or Dark Conflict, as it's called here in Europe), but the Advance Wars series has never let me down. I say go for it, now that you've already bought it.

No its like saying IM still playing DS so why should I shell out 35 dollars. Oh and Galaxy and Sunshine are completely different in design water pack=/= space, gravity and round worlds.

well all my point is, I'm still playing DS, and I've heard the games were very similar (excluding story and maps) in gameplay. I will buy DoR somepoint in the future. Maybe next year? I kinda want it to go down in price to like 20 I dont have money to spend on a Advance wars game when I already have an Advance Wars game.
