I guess that's the reason why they havn't done it yet. Possibly 1 or 2Wii Points per Game boy game lol. Would you do it then?MaskedboyI might then, but even so I just don't see much value in the games. Don't get me wrong I have a gameboy and it would bring back memories but that's about it.
I think as the GBA is taken out of comission, Nintendo will start releasing Gameboy games on the virtual console.
Why? Because the DS can't play regular gameboy games. In the shift from the GBA to the SP, we already lost support for the swiper (the hardware attachment that let you swipe cards to play old games). When the GBA is phased out (I think sometime this year or next year it was said), there will no longer be any store marketing value in the gameboy name for Nintendo, and that's when I think GB and GBC games will find themselves out on the virtual console.
[QUOTE="nghtcrwlr821"]I think with the next DS or new GameBoy they'll put a shop channel on them and allow you to buy GB games.TudioExactly what i had in mind, or you can buy it via the wii shop channel and transfer it to your ds to play
Yeah, they should have them be just for the DS since it would be stupid to play old GB and GBC games on a big tv screen.

Oh yeah lol. I forgot about the gameboy player for the SNES. I use to play pokemon yellow on my tv screen. It was nice to have, but the games still looked like crap.
This is a cool idea. I think they should go with it. I would say they should price them at 500 WP for a GB game and then 600 or 700 WP for a GBC game. I think GB games and NES games have equivalent value.arcelice
Game boy games shouldn't be more than 300 WP. I'm not gonna pay that many for those games.
I'd probably buy a few, I'd love to play Metroid II again. It may have only been black & white but it is still to this day one of the greatest video games ever made.bubnux
It is a great game and if you play it on the GB Color it puts some colour in for you as well.
Now on the topic at hand ... of course it would be great. The more games available the better. What's the worst case scenario? If you don't like a game, no one is forcing you to buy it. I think a lot of GB and GBC games have held up quite well and are very enjoyable to this day.
Of course it would be better if there was a way for them to be playable on the DS, as after all they were designed as handheld games.
I want Metroid II and both Zelda Oracle games on the VC. Other than that I don't care what they release.Bladefighter23
I own hard copies of those 3 games but I would still buy them on the VC (well the battery in my Metroid II has run out so it no longer saves). I think you should include link's awakening (at least) in that list
