1 game isnt enough. road rash was on the n64 though. and i never thought that game was all that good anyway. saturn was teh failure.

Thats all your opinion though. as people have said panzer and knites are the only really good games. but still they sold terribly and no one really likes them. i hated the saturn to be real honest. it felt like genesis 1.5 and i was glad i didnt purchase it. it did relatively well in japan but sold like crap in the US. my friend had one and i thought it was really boring. panzer (the rpg one) was super stale and wasnt true to the franchise (i like the xbox one tho). IMO saturn was horrible. but people have difference in likes and opinions. but my thoughts are if nintendo did (or even could) release it most likely the games wouldnt sell all that well.
I would love to buy some old Saturn games like the first Panzer, but like others have said, you would need all your memory to hold one game, and lots of games wouldnt even fit on that.
I wish Nintendo had given the wii a hard drive, or an option to buy a hard drive and plug it into the usb.
And if that's the case, those games would be better off on other systems because the Wiimote ruins the experience for classic games (ie Metal Slug Anthology). PikaPichuthe way you hold the controller (remote) on the side seems fine. Plus you can use the GC controller, so I don't see what the problem is or would be.

Maybe if they released a detachable hardrive. (never gonna happen) but if they did that i would rather see some dreamcast games. (but then it would have to be like 20 gigs) lol.bofe1234i am kinda getting sick of all these people wanting old games on the system it's like all the care about, if you really wanted to play those games that bad, just go get the console itself. The wii/nintendo should focus on making new games, not figuring out how to bring everything that's been released on other consoles onto it. I mean yes it's cool to have all the games on one system, but I really think we are going overboard with all this saturn/dreamcast stuff.

Well that's you.... millions of people would go to the end of the earth to find great classic games. i think nintendo is providing a great service. like you dont remember a game that you had when you were little. thats what this is doing. people are like OMG i remember that game it was awesome (no longer owning that system). i want it so they can buy it. i imagine some people bought the wii just for that reason.
I get what your saying about new games but they have that covered. VC games take literally no effort to put on. As for the Dreamcast thing that was really more of a joke. i could care less about DC games but it also would be nice for those who never got to play them.
No way. Sega Saturn games were on CDs which can hold over 512mb of stuff. Sure not all games took up an entire CD, but it just wouldn't be practical to download those on the VC. And don't give that 'oh but you can delete stuff and re-download them later for free' excuse either. Sega would do better to re-release their Saturn games as part of a classic's compilation on a physical disc. And if that's the case, those games would be better off on other systems because the Wiimote ruins the experience for classic games (ie Metal Slug Anthology). PikaPichuAgain, COMPRESSION, seriously is it really hard to compress a 10-13 year old game? The only thing that may be a problem is FMV, but they could still manage to get it 20mb or under. Also, WTF Metal Slug with Wii controls are awesome with the arcade *sideways, grenade fling* controls, its just the other two that suck.

They should not add Sega Saturn games to VC.... but instead..... Sega Saturn/Dreamcast Software Emulator that allows to the Wii to play real Dreamcast and Saturn discs. The reason for this is because Saturn and Dreamcast games are too big to be lingering around the Wii internal memory.Regginator14520Size restraints aren't the main problem with this idea. What people here don't seem to understand is the concept of emulation. Maybe that is because gamespot takes a rather extreme stance on the issue (no discussion; well, except when it is sponsored by a large company). Emulation of the Sega Saturn or Dreamcast is a difficult task for a top of the line PC, and is just not realistic considering the Wii's hardware. The only viable solution to bring Saturn or Dreamcast games to the Wii (or any other current system) is to port them. I would love to see some of those games ported as I never managed to get my hands on some of them (Panzer) but it doesn't seem very likely.

I was actually quite fond of the DC. I never owned a saturn so that would be pretty cool. I haven't bought anything on the vc yet so I really can't say too much. I am too busy playing wii games to get a vc game. I would LOVE to see "river city ransom" on the vc though for nes. I had that game but sold it about 2 years ago.[QUOTE="Regginator14520"]They should not add Sega Saturn games to VC.... but instead..... Yes! With today's compression they could compress those games easily. [QUOTE="PikaPichu"]No way. Sega Saturn games were on CDs which can hold over 512mb of stuff. Panzer Dragoon and Knights are the only thing i agree upon. but 6 good games doesnt make it worth it. not to mention saturn failed early so there really wasnt a lot of games to begin with. and considering not that many people played it (or even knew what it was) i really doubt it would sell. but if nintendo could make it work without hindering the memory more power to the saturn lovers.

saturn sold very well in japan (so I was told), I think it was just bad timing for the us.[QUOTE="bofe1234"]i am kinda getting sick of all these people wanting old games on the system it's like all the care about, if you really wanted to play those games that bad, just go get the console itself. Especially when Chrono trigger, secret of mana, and SM RPG come out. dude i will be playing vc more than regular games, come to think of it i already do that.
