i'd say don't worry about it. If retailers are smart, they'll buy enough, and if Nintendo is smart, they'll make enough. Brawl will own.

They do that just to get you to buy something else, doesn't really mean anything.

And no, you shouldn't worry.

they produce more game copies than actuall systems. if they dont have it at one store go to the one next door. the only reason game store employees push the issue is because their managers pressure them into it. one time i asked if they had a game in stock (spidey 2) and the guy was all like "you're lucky because we have a couple, you should really pre-order your games. its only 5 dollars down and it goes toward the purchase". such BS. i saw a huge line for gears of war pre-orders but when the game came out a few days later all the stores had it in stock. and then they offer magazine subscriptions for and store memberships for 10 dollars more but thats another issue. pisses me off

Nope. If SSBM was any indication, nobody lined up for copies of the game, and I'm doubtful the same will happen soon. It's a great game and all, but it's nowhere near the hype Halo 3 gets day after day after day.

I preordered it. No big deal. If you're worried about it, you might as well, it'll make you feel better! That's what I did. It's for geeks like me to have a sense of peace, knowing their chances of getting it are much higher:)

You won't be able to justwalk into a game store and get it for at the very least a week after release. Brawl is gonna be huge, people didn't know what to expect from melee I think, and found it amazing when they bought it. After so many people have playedmelee and loved it, and all the hype with the daily updates, it will be big.

Yup, happened to me when I wanted to buy RE4. He asked me about7 times, and he was talking to my mom forever. :P Then, when there would be akward silence after 5 min of talking, he would just stare at me with the game in his hand, like he wanted to talk some more. It was very... akward.

Wouldn't hurt to preorder it if you plan on getting it anyways.

It's so close to Christmas that it may sellout at a lot of places.

It shouldn't be a problem. Although, you never know, some places might have a pre-order special where you get free stuff, in that case, do it :)

I don't think you need to pre-order the game. They know this game is going to be huge, so Nintendo is going to have a thousands of copies out there. Yes, I know they can't get the Wii out there fast enough, but making a disc is far easier than a console. Plus, there are dozens of stores you'll be able to buy it from, and you could get it online. There's no need to worry.

It doesn't work like that at places like Gamestop, the amount of preorders one store gets determines the amount of total games they get. Sure most will get more than the amount of preorders but who knows how large that number will be.
