I'm looking into buying either one of these city building games as I enjoyed Sim City on PC and want a new tycoon-esque strategy game after getting bored of Theme Park. Which of these two games is better? In terms of price, both are roughly the same.

Thanks.

I have the game and I like it. It's not a prime title, but as far as Sim City goes, it's casual enough for DS but hardcore enough for Sim City fans. The era build ups are a very nice twist as well. If you liked the original Sim city and 2000, I can recommend this one.

Yeah, Sim City Creator's best feature is the the different eras of time you have to play through in order to complete the main game. It works well to bring the player into the game step by step, introducing new features with each era, which makes things far less confusing if you're trying to find your way around the various menus for the first time. You can use this mode of play to unlock special types of building for the freeplay mode, which is just as enjoyable too.

Haven't heard a lot about it and there are a lot of them in the second hand bins over at the retail store, so I don't really trust it.
