So what are YOUR impressions of the trailer?
I'm particularly excited about killing the sperm before it reaches its destination of evil.

Then I recommend equipping this:
I dont know, I think it looks fun. I never played Sin & Punishment . But f its fun like that old G.I.Joe arcade game I'm all for it. :)SER69
Download the original on the VC. It plays a lot like Star Fox (SNES/N64), in that the game is pretty short and most of the fun is in perfecting it for high scores. It's much more difficult than Star Fox, though. More intense as well. The only downside? No Slippy or barrel rolls.

Yeah. I heard that the first one's short as well. But how short is it?

Couple hours, tops. But it's pretty much guaranteed that you won't beat it on your first try. It's an old school game - Game Over means Game Over. When you run out of lives and continues, which you will, you have to start at the beginning. It took me a couple days of fairly heavy play to get very far, and it took a few weeks of more scattered play to ever beat it.
It's not the type of game that you'll play through once and never play again. You'll have to play it a lot just to get through it. And once you do, you'll want to play again to top your score.
Because of that, if the sequel is the same kind of thing, online leaderboards would be great.
[QUOTE="scar-hawk"]Looks alright. I wonder if they'll include online battling. I'm pretty sure it's gonna have leaderboards.AlexSays
Leaderboards? Hopefully.
Online battling? Hopefully not.
This isn't a game that needs tacked on online multiplayer.
Actually I think online co-op would be nice. As a gamer who really doesn't have any friends, I appreciate being able to work on games with other gamers out there, if I want.Actually I think online co-op would be nice. Co-op, most definitely.
Battle, not a chance. The game isn't set up for battling. It's a scrolling shooter. The whole system would have to be changed to allow for battle. They might as well make a separate game for that.

Online co-op slipped my mind for some reason.
Yeah, I could see that implemented nicely.

Yeah, a few minutes after posting. I said to myself; "How would online battling work anyway". I gave up after a few more minutes of thinking lol. And yeah, online co-op would be a great addition. And I doubt Treasure isn't going to consider that.
Also, is Sin & Punishment addictive enough to keep me busy for a month or 2. I know I'm asking for a lot lol :Pscar-hawk
Only if you don't have that much time to play. You won't sit down and play every day for three hours. That just won't happen.
But if you can only play in short spurts, the game could last you a few straight weeks, plus whatever time you spend in the future just breaking it out to play every once in awhile. It really depends on how much you end up liking it. The more you like it, the more replay value it'll have. If you hate it, it'll last you maybe two days.

Gasp! 2 hours!
And I haveenough time to play 3 hours each day ;)
Or it won't be very fun to play 3 hours each day? I just want to clarify what you're saying.

I mean it won't be fun to play extensively every day for a month or two, though I could be wrong. The bottom line is that it's a quality game that you should get at some point. But it might not be exactly what you're looking for right now - it isn't action/adventure and doesn't have any free-roaming. ;)
I'll admit seeing this made me download the original, sadly I almost regret it. It is kind of fun but the controls on the VC are frustrating to get used to. Not to say that I am not still excited for this one though, it looks great and will help bolster the 2009 lineup.Phantom5800
I was just about to download it.. :|
So is it worth 1200 points, in your opinion?

The controls are weird. Do some tweaking then just play. They get to be pretty natural after a little practice. It's frustrating at first, though.
