before i bought my Wii, i have been on a dilemma on buying PS3 or a Wii, since i've been having good experience on my PS2. but i must only choose one, i choose the Wii because it can involves motion and or body movement while playing, compare to only button mash, i believe health problems may arise if i choose to just button mash and just sit/slouch on the couch making my body movement to almost 0% percent.
a year ago when i was looking at new systems online, i was looking and there a few wii games that got my mind, Deadly Creatures, mushroom men, a few others and the fact that it was the cheapest system out there at the time, so far i am very happy with the wii
I wanted a PS3, because they only sell sony products here, until I went to Europe And got one.
Heck people here don't even know who Mario is. O__O

wow thats unusual, even my parents know Mario, because he's an icon on the gaming industry. back to my PS2 days, when i was playing one time, im quite surprised because they ask if there is still a Mario game. well i havent got the gamecube.
I got mine because a 2 years ago my brother stole my GC and all my games and sold them. My mother bought me a Wii thinking it was a Gamecube. When I told her what she has actually bought me, she said that all she paid attention to was the Nintendo part. No complaints here though. I was going to buy one anyway.
funny its my neice's bday too. i bought a wii because the controls seemed so fun, and it hasn't dissapointed me in that category. now that i have a ps3 i must say that after playing with the wii controls, it's hard to go back and it just doesn't feel as fun, tho i do love my ps3 as well. I just want more games for my wii rignt now...some really good rpgs and MM on VC

Well, doesn't everyone need a Nintendo system in their life? I choose the Wii because it's Nintendo. Though, I'll probably get one of the other systems later on when there are more games that I'm interested in.
Cuz its Nintendo, and ummm... I'm a Sega fan... and Sega had no console, so Nintendo it was. Added to the fact that every Sony console I've ever bought has broken.

Contrary to the doom and gloom that people like to heap on it, though, I've been quite satisfied by it. I also have another console, but I don't own nearly as many games for it as I do the Wii.
The wii was a pretty easy decision for me. Motion controls looked fun, and after having an xbox least gen, I was really missing all the classic nintendo franchises. Glad I got it!:D
I got mine about 6 months ago. It was an easy choice for me because I looked at the games like Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Corruption, Mario Kart and Brawl. Also the motion controls looked awesome to me and I love it today :D. Wii sports kinda sucked me in :P
Because I buy all of the consoles. It would have been my last choice but to avoid the hassle of trying to find one I ended up buying it second when I found it at Target.
Wow, I didn't k now it was the Wii's birthday today. Anyway, I own both a Wii and a PS3. If you can only get one my suggestion is that you just get whichever one has the games you like the most.
I seriously was gonna get a 360, but then the first time I heard of Nintendo's new system with its motion sensing capabilities and online play. :shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:
And it only kept getting better. Cheapest console, a free game, Virtual Console library, Internet Channel, games like Zelda TP, SSBB, and MP3, I WAS PUMPED!!!
My answer's a little longer... I'd been out of gaming for the entire PSone-Saturn-N64 era, and just got back into it when PS2 came out. Then I played Metroid Prime Hunters on DS and realized I needed a Gamecube to experience the Prime games in all their glory. Next was Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time and Resident Evil 4. Nintendo won me back, and I was sold on Wii when it was still the Revolution. Motion controls (when done right) beat snazzy graphics any day... add in the Virtual Console and it was a no-brainer. This was my chance to play all the N64 games I missed and relive the NES days, too!
