Since Pokemon HG/SS came out, my interest in my DS has rekindled.

Does anyone else feel the same?

Before the latest Pokemon came out, I barely looked at my DS, I was getting tired of it. Then when I got HG I was playing for hours a day, and since then I've bought a few new games for it. My interest for htis console was almost gone, but now I'm getting back into it and I absolutely love it! :)

You could say that.

I hadn't been playing my DS for a while since there wasn't any new games coming out that I was interested in, but I bought SoulSilver back in March and got sucked back into playing on the system.

Yeah, I feel the same! I was wondering how many others felt like this. I'm sure it's a lot.

Same for me. A lot of great DS games out there. I'm actually trying to beat some to get them out of the way for others(faster than I normally would)

It did that to me too for about two weeks then I got bored with the game (nothing against it)

The only games on the DS in the past 1 1/2 to really keep my interest are Fire Emblem and Spirit Tracks. I still like my DS but I fell there haven't been a ton of great games like in the past

Nope, I have never lost interest in my DS in the 3 years I've had it. Fantastic system.

I play alot more of my DS than my x360 since I tend to travel alot these days, as for pokemon HG/SS: I havent picked up that game yet, I guess im just too lazy to play an RPG more-so a Pokemon game, although, I will probably get one in the coming weeks to accompany me on yet "another trip"

Well, I play my DS a lot just for pokemon.
Before HG came out, I was busy trying to complete my Platinum Nat.Dex. I was still missing a few legendaries that are available in HG/SS, so I waited until its release. When I got my hands on HG, I quickly beaten the main storyline in one weekend so I catch the rest of the pokemon I needed for Platinum. Now I'm waiting for the Mew and Celebi events, and a Mawile(i hate these things).

There hasn't been anything interesting for me lately. I'm waiting for Okamiden and Pokemon Black/White which comes out later this year/next year. Not planning to buy anything else so it's just pokemon again for the next few months. :P

For me, I had pretty much stopped playing my DS... i don't know why, I just found it difficult to engage with some of the games i had. Then when I got HG it was so easy to play, and keep playing. Then I began to be interested in my DS again and I bought some more games. First it was Pokemon Platinum, then I bought Alice in Wonderland and Picross. So far I've played Alice in Wonderland and Picross and I love them :) Haven't started Platinum yet, still trying to complete HG.

I tend to lose interest in handheld games for some reason. I've bought a lot of games for my DS, but have barely finished any of them. It's a bad habit of mine. With that said I've put in nearly 50 hours into SS, and I don't think I'll be slowing down anytime soon.

If you want to keep playing your DS without pokemon, I would recommend Age of Empires: Age of Kings DS. Its a Turn Based Strategy game, and it is excellent. I would also recommend Bowser's Inside Story for you RPG addicts out there.

Thanks Calvin. I'm not really one for Age of Empires but I might try Bowser's Inside Story. I've heard a lot of good about it.

Yeah I felt pretty much the same way my DS had been collecting dust until i bought SS. I loved Pokemon Silver when it first came out and love it so much more now that it has new features from the newer Pokemon games :)

Definately. I hadnt played my DS for a very long time. Then there was news about HG/SS and i frantically searched for my DS, started a new game on Pearl to get my Pokemon fix until HG/SS, and when i got the game, i clocked in more hours on it than in any other pokemon game, even though i have had it for barely1 month now. Ive clocked in over 120 hours already... i havnt even reached 90 on any other games.

So yeh you could say my love for my DS is rekindled.

I don't have HG or SS yet, but since I got it a few weeks ago, all I have been playing on it is Pearl.
It is really fun, and I'm looking forward to playing the 2nd gen remakes soon!

Pokémon isn't the only good game on the DS, but I understand that many people see it that way. There are many other games yet many people don't know about them.

It definitely has. Last night, I played Pokemon HG for an hour and a half, then played Might and Magic Clash of Heroes (which in my opinion is an awesome game and was totally surprised at how good it is) for 2 hours, until 2am, even though I had to get up for work at 6.30am. So I'm now up and running on 4 and a half hours sleep, with an exceedingly busy day ahead of me, but I can't wait to get home and play on my DS again :)

I didn't mean Pokemon is the only good game on DS - for me it just reminded me of how fun DS can be.
