The New Super Mario Bros for the wii looks fantastic but i was just curious as to the depth of the single player mode.

It seems as if the levels are geared towards multiplayer and might be akward with only one person.

I'm pretty sure Miyamoto said that the levels were designed with single player in mind then expanded upon for multiplayer.

Question-- is this simply a port to the Wii of the New Super Mario Bros. for the DS with multiplayer added in? Or is this an all-new game?

I wanna say that you can still get everything in the game playing single player it will just take a talented player to do it but with friends it makes it easier.

There's no way they would gear a level towards multiplayer, that makes no sense. It will likely work a little like LBP where certain things can be tackled easier with a partner.

Miyamoto stated that the game was originally developed for single player, and that they pretty much threw the multiplayer in mid development. I think everyone will get what they want.:)
