Smash Switch Speculation Thread

Let's chat about speculation for the new Smash for Nintendo Switch.

How many times do Nintendo fans want the same games over and over again, sounds like lems.

you meanlike the shadow of the colossus remaster? or last of us 2? uncharted 4? killzone shadowfall, calll of duty part 100, battlefield 5?

but when nintendo does it its the same game over again?? lol

on topic, i think the game will play similar to smash 4 but everyone will have new moves and of course new characters.

Im hoping they change the artstyle. smash 4 artstyle was ok. but my favourite artstyle was melee.

I can't really say, I haven't played one since the game cube, but I am excited about this one.

There are 4 of us in our little gaming group, and this game would be perfect for when we get together. I very much enjoyed the one on the N64, which I got to play the most, and the one on the gamecube. I imagined it has evolved a bit since then, especially with this new Switch release. I am kinda hoping for a new version all together, but I wouldn't be upset if it was a remaster of the latest with updates/upgrades.

Given the recent resurgence in popularity for Crash Bandicoot, it would be great to see him in this Smash Bros. game.

Having a Mario vs. Sonic vs. Crash Bandicoot triple threat match in this Smash Bros. game would be awesome and something that would have been unthinkable in the 90s.

Not one game i own is a QTE fest. Mostly all new IP's in fact.

One thing that came to mind was Splatoon. What could the Inklings moveset be? And what items could they introduce?

I was thinking, the Splat Roller could be a really cool item that any character could pick up! One hit kill with Area of Effect.

And the Final Smash could be one of the Special Weapons. There's a lot of possible specials to choose from. Maybe you could activate the Final Smash and choose which one to use? Or perhaps they're environmental hazards in a Splatoon stage!

@storm_of_swords: Crash has to be in this game considering they are porting the games to the Switch.

I hope they add Rex or Pyra/Mythra, or maybe an Ice Climbers-esque duo of the two.

I would like to see Ice Climbers get back in, even if they aren't doing anything with the series anymore. I would love to see the Champions make it in as characters, but I'm guessing they will be Assist trophies i.e Revali will make everyone jump really high. Travis Touchdown definitely deserves to be in more than the likes of Crash Bandicoot.

Cool ideas! I'd like to see the tenta missiles implemented as a final smash. ?
