in ur opinion, which is better, the red plumber jumping around in the galaxy (SMG, in case ur not very smart) or the teen in the green fairy costume killing ganondorf...again (LoZ, in case ur a lil slow)?

Ive only played a few hours of smg, but from my experience, santas buddy in tights swinging a plastic sword around and killing the evil elf man gannondorf... again, is better than smg.IMO

I guess i just like having a sword and hacking and slashing bad guys more than jumping on them.

Super Mario Galaxy in my mind is easily superior to Twilight Princess. Both titles are a bit on the easy side, but Mario Galaxy did have some challenging moments while Twilight Princess on the other hand was painfully easy from start to finish. Mario Galaxy looks better as well and has a far superior soundtrack for sure. Galaxy also has some nice little surprises when you get all the stars, making for a more rewarding experience. In Twilight Princess you beat the game, save the day, and watch the credits roll. And though Galaxy did not do a whole lot with the Wii's control scheme, what it did do with it felt more natural and original than what Twilight Princess' did.

Gameplay: Galaxy>TP

Graphics: Galaxy>TP

Sound: Galaxy>TP

Value: Galaxy>TP

Overall: Galaxy>TP

Um...both xD

TP is the best 3D Zelda game yet and SMG is the best Mario game yet, so this is like saying "Which is a better series Mario or Zelda?"

Even though Im 10 hours into Zelda and only 2 Hours into SMG, I think SMG overall was better. Mario definately beaten Link on this generation. IMO, Mario Sushine and 64 lost to WindWaker and OoT. Mario must shine on this generation and Galaxy does it. those levels aren't only weird, they are crazy and insane (in a good way) who wouldn't want mario walking up-side-down?.

Mario definately beaten Link on this generation.King-gamer

Wait a second, LoZ:TP wasn't designed for Wii, as you know is a GC game. TP was launched on Wii as a marketing/sales tactic during Wii debut. In fact, during last generation, Mario lost twice (LoZ:WW 'n LoZ:TP) and on the current, who knows? (Nintedo hasn't developed yet a Zelda title exclusive for Wii)

However, answering the question (not considering that they belong to different generations) SMG is better than TP in all aspects.

I'll be honest, I beat Mario Galaxy in just a few days, and I really didn't feel the need to collect the rest of the stars. I know I'm missing more than half of the game, but I've seen it all already. I felt I was done.

With Twilight Princess, I played straight to the end, and it took me a hell of a lot longer. I think I even had more fun with this game.

I pick Twilight Princess.

tp is better in my opinion better story better gameplay, better controls i thought smg was alright but as someone above said i also beat the game pretty quick and didnt feel the need to 100 percent it , on the other hand tp i completed every task the game offered and still am fairly entertained by the game theres always fun in going into the cave of ordeals one last time or just casually fishing

From my experience, SMG is the best. As great as LOZ TP was, SMG had a much more natural and responsive control scheme, wacky and innovative level designs, some of the best graphics on Wii (if not the best), a grandiose soundtrack, and more importantly, was FUN. TBH, swinging the Wii Remote isn't more responsive than the B Button, and using the Nunchuk for Spin Attacks and Shield Bashing isn't the best idea (given the limitations of the motion sensing of the peripheral). Hopefully, we'll see a Zelda game that was developed with the Wii's capabilities in mind.

You obviously have some pretty high standards, Twilight Princess was brilliant on the Wii. Calling it "cheap" is obsurd.

Although, to each it's own I guess. Sorry to see you didn't have as much fun with the game. I for one had a blast from beginning to end.

i just really disliked the waggle, the aiming was actually done pretty well.

I just really hate waggle, in any Wii game -- I'm sure nintendo will find an alternative for the next Zelda, specifically for the Wii

In SMG you "waggled" to do the spin move. What's the difference?

Twilight princess. Its not as great as OOt or MM were, but its still a pretty fun game.

Super Mario Gaxy is also a great game, but I would buy it after TP.

Its not as used as frequently as TP. I just think for a game like a Zelda adventure, its not ideal.

Wow, that's a hard one. They both have great gameplay, nice graphics, awesome boss battles, and they're both lengthy. I love Mario Galaxy, but I'm going to have to go with Twilight Princess. I'm an "epic" game person, and Zelda is in that category. Though Galaxy has better graphics, gameplay is first in my book.

I HATED SMG. It didn't feel like a Mario game to me. Twilight Princess was a great game with a solid story. So I'd obviously say Zelda.

I only played a little bit of SMG, and I played through and beat LoZ:TP; judging on what I played of both, I would go with Zelda; it has a much better story (as usual), and I think the action in the game is better, too. I would get Zelda if I were you, but a lot of it has to do with which series do you like better? For me it is Zelda, but that is just me; you really can't go wrong with either... They are both excellent games in their own right.

TP was the best game on the Wii IMO. I was a little disappointed in SMG but it was still worth the play through.
