in ur opinion, which is better, the red plumber jumping around in the galaxy (SMG, in case ur not very smart) or the teen in the green fairy costume killing ganondorf...again (LoZ, in case ur a lil slow)?

Ive only played a few hours of smg, but from my experience, santas buddy in tights swinging a plastic sword around and killing the evil elf man gannondorf... again, is better than smg.IMO
I guess i just like having a sword and hacking and slashing bad guys more than jumping on them.
Super Mario Galaxy in my mind is easily superior to Twilight Princess. Both titles are a bit on the easy side, but Mario Galaxy did have some challenging moments while Twilight Princess on the other hand was painfully easy from start to finish. Mario Galaxy looks better as well and has a far superior soundtrack for sure. Galaxy also has some nice little surprises when you get all the stars, making for a more rewarding experience. In Twilight Princess you beat the game, save the day, and watch the credits roll. And though Galaxy did not do a whole lot with the Wii's control scheme, what it did do with it felt more natural and original than what Twilight Princess' did.
Gameplay: Galaxy>TP
Graphics: Galaxy>TP
Sound: Galaxy>TP
Value: Galaxy>TP
Overall: Galaxy>TP
Um...both xD
TP is the best 3D Zelda game yet and SMG is the best Mario game yet, so this is like saying "Which is a better series Mario or Zelda?"
Mario definately beaten Link on this generation.King-gamer
Wait a second, LoZ:TP wasn't designed for Wii, as you know is a GC game. TP was launched on Wii as a marketing/sales tactic during Wii debut. In fact, during last generation, Mario lost twice (LoZ:WW 'n LoZ:TP) and on the current, who knows? (Nintedo hasn't developed yet a Zelda title exclusive for Wii)
However, answering the question (not considering that they belong to different generations) SMG is better than TP in all aspects.
I'll be honest, I beat Mario Galaxy in just a few days, and I really didn't feel the need to collect the rest of the stars. I know I'm missing more than half of the game, but I've seen it all already. I felt I was done.
With Twilight Princess, I played straight to the end, and it took me a hell of a lot longer. I think I even had more fun with this game.
I pick Twilight Princess.
Super Mario Galaxy.
TP was a cheap second thought for the Wii.

You obviously have some pretty high standards, Twilight Princess was brilliant on the Wii. Calling it "cheap" is obsurd.
Although, to each it's own I guess. Sorry to see you didn't have as much fun with the game. I for one had a blast from beginning to end.

In SMG you "waggled" to do the spin move. What's the difference?
Twilight princess. Its not as great as OOt or MM were, but its still a pretty fun game.
Super Mario Gaxy is also a great game, but I would buy it after TP.
