so I was looking at the videos of SMG and I found something cool!
go_here and watch the "planet hopping, boss bot" one! Go to 2 minutes and 49 sec (2:49), or at the very end of 2:48... pause it right at this moment...
if you did it right you will see in the background (mid - upper right) a gaint start on the large planet below! What could it possibly be? Is that where you start off in the game? Do you actually go to the large planet in the game?

ya, the music is pretty sweet... but im still wondering what that star was!?!?! I dont know why, but it interests me more on the planet below! SMG could easily be the best mario to date... I simply can not wait!
I've watched that video a few times and never noticed that planet below. That's pretty cool and definitely makes me wonder what role it will play in the game.
The game has great graphics but unfortunately its controls seem weak. You shake the controller to do a spinning move. You would think punching or something more motion sensitive involved would be the way to go. Sad but the game will probably be so good in every other way that I wont mind much.
Like to be honest.. i don't even like SMG that much...

No joke. SMG is regaurded as "perfect" by the entire ign podcast team. they often boast it as the "mecca" for wii owners. it is by far my most anticipated game and i garantee it will be AAA and the highest rated Wii game.
I love the setting of the game. For some reason this game is fairly overlooked by me. I dont know why, the concept and setting its in is just awesome. The graphics are awesome and the backdrop looks great as well. And the game looks quite fun. Cant wait for it to come out. :)
The game, even if it's just a demo, even if it's just a starting something, looks frighteningly easy btw. Apart from that, rock on!
The star on the planet? As someone else noticed, there are many stars on that planet. To be honest i think it's for decoration. Check out the screen paused around 1:57.
Second thoughts, they seem to be on only one spot of the planet, in different sizes, all "on" a piece of ground nearly in a row. Perhaps they do mean something.
hmmm... this game was a 'meh' game that i was gonna get but just to get it ive never seen these videos and now SMG is up there with SSBB and MP3 :DZumaJones07

It would be cool if you went to those stars in the game...or whatever, and then you could see where you have been from outerspace... it would be the largest draw distance in a game EVER! XD
