SMG2: Cosmic Guide

Just curious who has used it. I used it for one level after falling off the slide over and over again.

I never used it but twice the Cosmic Guide showed up because I died a lot but I refused to use it because I didn't want a Bronze Star I wanted to complete it myself.

I had to watch a trailer to see how it works. It never showed up for me and I have 160 stars or so.

I wouldn't have used it anyway. It's one of those things that my mistakes were MY mistakes, not the game screwing me over, so I knew I could do it myself.

I did get pissed and punch my bed once, though. I was at the VERY end of a longish speed run level with 10 seconds left and ONE more hit to kill the last boss, but a random flaming boulder shot out of nowhere and hit me quicker than I could even respond. I HATE replaying parts in games, so I got violent. Then I laughed and beat it on my next try.

I don't think I ran into it the whole time i've played. But i've died plenty of times on some levels. Does it only appear on certain levels or something?

Really? I beat that one on the first try with almost a full minut left. I did have a single hit left when I accomplished it so it was close.

The cosmic guide showed up once and it was for the boulder rolling level for me, but I didn't use it. I think it stops showing up when you beat the game because I died so many times on the 241st and 242nd stars (more than any other by far) and she didn't show up

Well you're in good company there; you should see me when I run out of time when a monster's almost dead in Monster Hunter Tri. :P I tell the time limit all about how it's so stupid and such an a-hole and how I want to murder it.

Yep. Yep! I'm 73 stars in currently, thatboulder rolling level isalso the one time I ever saw the cosmic guide, and I didn't use it either. It wasback yesterday.

Beat the game and it never showed up. I didn't even know there was one until I went to the SMG2 boards. :P

What do you need to do to get it to show up? I must have died at least like 15-20 times on that star with the wooden slide in the tree galaxy, but I never saw it. I actually forgot that it was in the game.

I am almost 90 stars into the game and I have yet to see it. :D

It appeared for me a few times, but I didn't use it. Figured I could by it myself since the guide always appeared after I had almost gotten through whatever part I was having trouble with, and that point I always think, "Well, I've already gotten this far, so might as well keep trying to do it myself." Definitely though about using it once or twice, though. Those later stars of rough!
