MH Tri confirmed free to play in NA. Demo disks going to gamestop march 8th.

Now they've confirmed MHTri is F2P. This just keeps getting better and better. Wuzzat? A demo disc of Tri released to gamestop for distribution? THANK YOU! Except I already pre-ordered. Oh well, a sample of my game a little early.

Crap, they just confirmed that the Tri bundle will not be released until April 20th, while the non-bundled version is being released the 6th. I pre-ordered the wrong version :cry:

The only thing that worried me a bit about their summit was the fact that they have only heard MIDI music from Super Mario Galaxy 2. That doesn't bode well for the game if the final version does not feature orchestrated music.

The only thing that worried me a bit about their summit was the fact that they have only heard MIDI music from Super Mario Galaxy 2. That doesn't bode well for the game if the final version does not feature orchestrated music.

Surprsing to see Galaxy 2 and Other M release within a month of each other and both for the 1st half of the year. Leaves me to believe a surprise title to be announced at E3 for the fall and Zelda for the holidays. This year rocks.

Don't worry, there will be orchestrated music in the final version of the game! From IGN's live blog:

MIDI's overused... the proper term for non-recorded music is synth or synthesized. MIDI refers to a particular kind of synthesized music, according to a friend of mine who has written music for some games and does a lot of work on his own with chiptunes.MAILER_DAEMON

Super Mario Galsxy 2, Metriod: Other M and Sin and Punishment 2 all to be realeased in May and June?!?! That's three first party games in the span of two months. Color me excited!

Good job Nintendo, you remembered third party games exist and need help.

Star Fox and F-Zero just do not seem likely for this year. Maybe later down the line or next generation :?

I'm so glad that SMG2 is coming in May just as I thought. :) I'm surprised that Other M is coming so soon too.
