I havent seen any Wii's in stores in the SF bay area. I havent even seen any wii-motes or nunchucks. My friend has been looking for one for months. Wii is still in demand down here unlike the PS3 which I have seen tons of at hella stores.
my wife saw the first wii since launch for either of us... she saw a guy get the last one in a store in red deer, other than that, there's been a dry spell. nintendo wouldn't release any shipment numbers or dates for the past few months from what i've heard... (from friends looking to buy in the major centers)
I live in the sf bay area too and they only one's I've seen since launch were like 2 at sams club and that was months and months ago, seen plenty of ps3's, but no wii. Btw I nearly fell out of my chair from laughing at the topic lol.
Here in Sweden its also sold out everywhere, but I dont think we get that many units since we're not a big market like US or Canada.
I was lucky to get one from a friends neighbour. Had to pay like $20 extra for it, but if I had not done that, I still wouldn't have been able to get one so I dont mind :)
