Is this ture? Surely I am mistaken but someone is claiming that on another site. If so why would they remove a feature from a game that had this mode every time they demoed the game.

If they did it makes no sense. Why would they remove LAN from a console that is wireless and thus would be the easiet to set up lan games on?

If this is true I will not get this game. I hope i am wrong and I hope some companies remover their heads from the deep dark places that they are in and put out LAN games.

Yeah EA why does Heros 2 have 32 player online and yet you cannot put a lan mode in the game?

Yeah, early versions of the game were actually demonstrated via LAN connection to show off the multiplayer, but for some reason they unfortunatley decided to get rid of it (not that it makes a huge difference with online multiplayer anyway).

Because the developers choose not to put it because the exclusion of it wouldn't hurt the sales of their game to any significant extent. If including something inside of a game isn't going to sell enough copies just on the inclusion of the feature that would justify putting resources into that feature then developers won't include it.

Well they just lost a sale from me and my friends who want a lan game really bad. I cannot get high speed where I live and they just took multiplayer away from me. I hope the game bombs and every review points out the lack of LAN in the final verison when they had it running the whole time in LAN when they demo'ed it. This angers me as much a Timesplitters 3 developers saying it would have LAN on the GCN verison and then not having it when they release it.

I swear I would love to punch the yes man who decided to remove the option IN THE FACE. or set it on fire and beat the flames out with a object.

I not going to pick up my reserved copy and save up for somehting else.

At least Heroes 2 did not have the mode and then remove it from release. At least EA does not tease us with options and then take it away.( am I correct that most EA FPS games on consoles that have online do not have LAN?)

Since you're so adamant to know, LAN stands for local area network. It's basically a network for a small area, as opposed to connecting to an on-line network. It would normally be done over Ethernet cables or a Wi-Fi connection.
