So, this is all I need to connect my Wii to my 22 inch PC monitor?

Is that all I need? Will it look good on a 22? Thanks!

"This cable is not designed to connect a VGA output from a PC to the component video input on a TV or a component video output from any video device to the VGA input on a monitor."

Simple solution is to buy this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2825269&CatId=2775

Thats what I use, it has component cables already on the monitor. Plus its cheap.

What, I thought component to VGA converter costed around the hundreds! Does it really connect the Wii component to VGA monitor for under $5? If so I'll pick this up today!

I don't see any point to this cable either. Since it doesn't actually convert the signals, it's pretty useless. You could try it, but the results would be interesting, to say the least.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Ramadear, I don't want to buy a new monitor just for one console. By the way, how do you know if it won't work?

What's the loss? It's only $10.00 (since you have to add your checkout total to $10.00 or else you can't purchase anything, how stupid).

Yep, thats what I meant by you could try it. The input from the wii definitely won't blow your monitor, but it probably won't be intelligible.
