But seriously. On some level of consciousness I was aware of a Wii shortage, but I took a trip down to Bestbuy to look for one anyway. To my great surprise and dismay an employee informed me that there was still a Wii backup and my chance of acquiring one was next to nothing. What do I have to do to get my hands on a Wii?
You need a little luck on your side. I was grocery shopping at a Wal-Mart, cruised to the electronic section to see if they had a Wii. They had two. I grabbed an employee and purchased one. Should have bought both.
Luck is the essence. I read a topic about wii's stock coming back in so I decided to call 8 gamestops that are close by. Only 1 out of 8 had a wii and it was the last one. I drove up there asap and bought it right away. Currently playing zelda TP and couldnt be happier.

same... except there were 4 Wii's and I called my friend and he came in like 7 minutes. I've always thought checking out the stores whose "thing" isn't electronics or gaming are the best places to look...
Go to the ski shop, buy black sweaters, gloves, boots, and a ski mask. Once it's about 6:00 pm, hide behind a car in the parking lot outside of EB Games or another gaming store. Wait with a gun in your pocket. Once you see a Mom who just bought her kid a Wii, jack it and run like hell.
It's how I got mine! Also, if you need money for games, pickpocket at the subway.
like everyone says small stores are the way to go. my friend found the mythical guitar hero 3 for wii and ps3 at the smallest rogers ever not even t.v.s were set up.
It's all in your timing. You have to call stores like crazy. Either that, or stay in EB Games or GameStop all day the day they get their shipment of Wiis
Hmm... no, no... selling a kidney won't do. You'll have to swap a liver or several feet of intestine to get one. That or just badger your local retailers about shipments. You're more likely to get one early on Sunday than any other time of the week.
