Are there even any enemies to kill? Speedy454545
[QUOTE="Speedy454545"] Are there even any enemies to kill? shockwave04
Uh. Good question.
You shoot a lot of things. Go play the older Metroid Prime games to get an idea of what is likely to be the case here in Corruption. Add to that the "best control of any console shooter ever" and you've probably got a decent idea of what is going on.
I think Gamestop sells Metroid Prime for $6; I imagine you can afford that, and it's a very worthwhile experience.
I have watched tons of videos and trailers of this game but.......what do you actually do? Are there even any enemies to kill? All I see is you get to shoot doors and switches and just wander around doing that. Are there any enemies to kill and what are they? I really dont understand this game please somebody explain to me. Speedy454545i see where you're coming from, but i assume you haven't played either of the other iterations of this game. Don't worry, there's lots of enemies and stuff. maybe theyre just showing off the wii controls with all the switches and door things
Yes I have watched lots of videos of it. All I have seen the Character do is shoot doors and switches etc. Have not seen one clear visible enemy yet to shoot. Speedy454545
I can appreciat your stance. Although I have seen one MAYBE two videos that show some space pirate action, really there are no others out there that are showing you the "shooting" aspect of this FPS. Trust us all there are enemies to kill, great ones. And INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! boss fights. All the likes of which other good shooters just can't offer. It. Will. Be. Amazing.
Ome month from Friday.....................................

Thanks this video gives much better look at the game and what you can do in it.
Looks fun :D
It seems really boringtaikthebatethe game isnt for everyone trust me. i bought mp1 and mp2 a year ago and have sat down several times and have tried playing through them and i keep getting lost or bored with the game. ive had to resort to the walkthrough almost every time and have found out that i missed some things(im not sure about prime 2, but prime 1 had alot of backtracking)i hope #3 will be different though.
The game's basically Zelda with a gun. However, you do get more fights and more intense battles than Zelda games. Right off the bat around the beginning of the game you go into a freefall boss battle with Ridley, so that's gotta count for something.Mr_Doodle
I have to totally disagree with you there dude. In no way are those two similar other than they're both adventure games and you play them with a Wii controller. And by that account you could take any two random adventure games and say they're similar when they're really not.
Both stupendous of course though!
You SHOOT SPACE PIRATES!!!!!! damn rat bastards!badhoagie91
Oh snap! GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not trying to say the Metroid is exactly like Zelda. I'm just saying that Metroid is an adventure game like Zelda with some fights inbetween, and anybody who thinks of Metroid as aFPS and not a FPA will be sorely disappointed. Sorry if my original post was a little fuzzy at getting the message across.
You explore and fight, like any metroid game since the NES release, except in the NES release you really just died more than anything. Damn starting at 30 energy.

Speedy454545That question just made my brain explode for the fact that you have no idea what on earth the Metroid Prime series even is..

I have to totally agree with you, my good man! I'm a die hard Metroid fan, since the beginning, and I see no comparison with the Zelda universe! However, I'm sure he meant in some aspects, but; point being not so much similarity ...........Oh and YOU GOT THAT RIGHT BABY! From a fellow Denver fan! GO BRONCOS!!!!!! And........ I may just very well have landed some tix to see the Broncs hosting the pack in October, I think! Can you say Booo Yaaah!!!!8)
