So what virtual console games do you have so far?

Well back on November 19th, 2006 I bought The Legend of Zelda and Mario Bros. just to see how the Virtual Console worked.  At launch there weren't many games to choose from.  But there are now and I was just curious as to see what games people are buying.

So far I have:

The Legend of Zelda

I'm thinking about buying Punch-Out!!  Featuring Mr. Dream as well.

I have Zelda OoT and Zelda LTTP and the first Zleda. I also have Super Mario 64 and Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. Yay!  I have a few others but those are the best.

I really think if the vc games were a little cheaper that  I would get them more often. Games like punch out should only be 300 points.  Since nintendo probably has pure profit off them it is surprising they do not lower the cost.

 One thing they could do as well is with every purchase of a new wii game to give you a temporay point card with like 200 or 300 points too promote the vc games.

It's not pure profit. They still have to do some coding there is also the licensing and rating the game issues. Plus they have to pay for bandwidth and the other wiiconnect24 content for games that support it.

One reason more third parties have pledged support to the vc is because Nintendo showed them reports on what the games were making them and the third parties that had signed up.

Konami for instance and Hudson have pledged more support. Hudson loves the vc. SEGA is also announcing tons more vc support and SNK has pledged massive support as well with the NEO-GEO library.

SNES : Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Street Fighter II

Sega Genesis : Toejam and Earl, Sonic the Hedgehog, Comix Zone, Ristar, Streets of Rage, Ecco the Dolphin

Nintendo 64 : Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time, and Starfox 64

TurboGrafx-16 : Bonk's Adventure

The only ones I regret are Bonk and Ecco the Dolphin. Both were impulse buys when the system first launched. And I would have Super Mario 64 and Link to the Past if I didn't have them on DS and GBA, respectively. Although I might get them just to play on my TV with a better resolution. So far I'm extremely pleased with the offerings on the VC service. If I had more money I'd be checking out some of the cooler sounding games, but I can't risk my cash on something at this point if I don't already know I'll like it.

Right now, I'm up to 9.

I really should look into some Sega games and pick up a few of those, but I use my VC to buy back the old NES games I had back in the day.  Luckily, I still have my SNES and N64 so I have plenty of titles for those.

Donkey Kong (I love this game, but it's so hard)

Punch-Out!!! (I can't get passed Soda Pop)

Bonk's Adventure (Dear God this game is easy)

Legend of the Kage (Had fond memories playing this game as a kid, but now it tough than anything I've played)

Gradius III (Are you kidding me - it's so tough I am crying)

Contra 3 (Why is this game so tough.)
