Seriously, this is a no brainer. A Music Channel where you can download music onto your Wii through SD cards, internet browser, MP3 via USB, and hopefully regular CDs. You can create playlists, set in alphebetical order, and so on. Also while you are in the channels you can set your Miis to dance to it.

If memory is the problem (it wont be), then have multiple ways to access the music through external harddrives, SD cards, MP3 via USB.

Instead of making the devs do all the work make it a universal feature that you can play music whenever you want. You can start the music by going into the music channel or by pressing the HOME button where it brings up the Music channel or a compressed version of it. So while you are playing a game you simply press HOME then click which song you want and it will keep playing your playlist.

I am surprised they havent done it yet. Think of the publicity they would get when people see you can cannot your iPod to the Wii.

You may see a way to transfer your songs over but you'll NEVER see a music channel that lets you take songs from the internet or even buy them.

Nintendo isn't in the mood for the license quagmire that the music industry is in these days. To take on anything more then having the ability to store some songs wouldn't be an advantage to anything Nintendo's doing and would only cause a major sized headache.

what you could do to listen to music on your wii is go to the photo channel and upload a song for a slideshow then go to music options or something and select the song you want to listen to, ive done it before but i dont exactly remember how to do it but its really easy to get to.

The Xbox 360 already does that. I have a 360 and that feature to me is worthless. If they ever make a music channel, I would download it to play with it, but would most likely delete it.

That would be really cool, but Nintendo is trying to position the Wii as a games machine and not a multimedia machine right now.

It would be cool if Nintendo teamed up with Apple to present a Music Channel in which you could listen to music from your ipod or SD card. And it would rule if you could buy itunes through the channel as well (using Wii points).

That was a Gamecube thing. Wii is trying to get all kinds of gamers. Music attracts that type of gamer. Besides they already have photos.

A Music channel that lets you organize playlist and use them during the game would help thier sales.

It's more likely to going to be : Transfer music from Wii disc OR more likely, purchase Wii game music or something dumb >_>
However Zelda would be nice but I already own the music.

If you ask me, nintendo's slogan for Wii chanels is "start from the craziest ideas then to the more normal ones" or something like that. Ninty is going for the more unusual or unique stuff before the common stuff you could see in other stuff IMO.

One of the most useless thing I don't want to download. It's like the DVD playback another useless thing.

DVD playback could not be implemented via a firmware update, it would require an entirely new Wii.

PEople are saying it is useless but you are not thinking about what most casual and non gamers like. They would want a Music channel esp if it is done easy. SOme of you say that Nintendo wants to make money off of it. Well if some casuals saw that you could hook your iPod up to the Wii for Music then it would definitely spark sales.
