I vote for: Next gen graphics Completely new and original story. That being said, I wouldn't say no to a remake or sequel to WW, but I would prefer something totally new.Wrecked69You people just want something new for the sake of being new, for one the story is always new, they just use the same characters. It should look better than Twilight Princess, but I wouldn't expect too much if I were you. Look at the Conduit, the weapons, the enemies, the effects look great, but it comes at the expense of the environments. One cohesive world would be nice, but I would rather them give the overworld more life and make it larger, and vary the environment some more. Like have a small forest running along side a river in the middle of Hyrule and having to traverse a moutain to get somewhere and so on.
Haha bud, your gonna need to wait a heck of a long time to get to the point where gaming doesnt need to load. Good idea. But it wont happen.Left4Dead666Off the top of my head, Burnout Paradise has 0 load times for a giant free roaming world. Of course games have to load or at least transition every now and then, but what he means is the interrupted world, that is broken up into little zones instead of one giant zone. I think it has alot to do with gameplay elements though, so it may be real difficult to have a zelda game with a full open world and no transitions between zones.
Its not a totally new idea, and Zelda series has been one of the better games when it comes to loading, but for a immersion factor I would like for them to try and push on even further and remove as many transition points as possible and make the world as open ended and explorable as possible with as little invisible and visible walls(as in hills and embankments we cant climb) as possible. Id really like to see the world, cities, towns and dungeons feel a bit more organic and realistically laid out. And having less area transitions making things more seamless would help to wave those different areas together.enduin
Couldnt of said it any better myself

[QUOTE="Sepewrath"] You people Wrecked69omg racist. And no I dont want something new for the sake of being new. But look at Windwaker. It was a completely new and original story and it was GREAT. Why is it so wrong to expect that same kind of innovation to be brought to the Wii, like it was brought to the Gamecube 5 years ago? And I did not say I dont want the environment to be more varied, I think that would be good..
lol racist, anyway what was so new about WW? It still featured Link, it still featured Zelda, and Ganondorf, and the Triforce, and the Deku, etc. The only thing that was different was the art style, instead of riding a horse you rode a boat from settlement to settlement, so what if they put Link on a mule or a chocobo, would it really be new. WW was not that innovative it stuck to what the series has been doing for years, just with a fresh coat of paint. Theres nothing particularly wrong with that but if you consider that new and change than Twilight Princess was equally as much of a change.
Lastly I didn't say that you were against varying up the environment, that was my idea for changes to the series. I think for the next Zelda they don't need to muck with the basic formula. Think MGS4 it is a great game and the core it is very similar to MGS1, you still sneak around on your belly, crawl through vents, hide in boxes, put guards to sleep, carry whatever weapons you want, the healing items, boss battles etc. But Konami made changes to the formula by adding to what you could do, basically the additions were combat oriented on the level that you could run through the game like John Rambo, and a less linear experience. I think Nintendo could do the same for Zelda with WM+ obviously for combat, both it can also be used to open up new avenues for mini game, side quest and exploration. A fresh take on a working formula, instead of the answer that some people have come up with which is change everything.

It was the first game that took us out of Hyrule. It was the first zelda that used cell shaded graphics. And it Introduced a free roam zelda map as opposed to the carefully zoned areas of other zelda games. There was plenty of new stuff that made zelda feel fresh again. I dont want them to deter off what makes zelda zelda either. And for the record, Id have to say I probably enjoyed TP more than most people. I just think it would be fun to explore a new zelda world again, like we did in WW. My previous posts may have been misleading.I think Nintendo could do the same for Zelda with WM+ obviously for combat, both it can also be used to open up new avenues for mini game, side quest and exploration. A fresh take on a working formula, instead of the answer that some people have come up with which is change everything.SepewrathI agree that they shouldnt mess with the formula a lot, its need more tweaks and upgrades than all out changes, and with that in mind I think WM+ will do just that if they use it too much. Id like for them to use it in a similar to NMH and leave the majority of sword fighting to button presses. Zelda isnt supposed to be a sword simulator, its an action/adventure/puzzler and I think they need to refocus on those last two parts a bit more and trying to use WM+ too much would probably detract from those two. Plus I just dont think it wouldnt suit the game too much to be wailing around all the time, Zelda is meant to be played in long stints and doesnt lend itself to flailing around like other game, it was novel in TP but got tiresome(not physically) after a while. What really excites me about WM+ is the possibility for Zelda to use it in puzzles and other interactions in exploring the world rather than just the combat. The combat mechanics are already pretty solid as they are, some updates to the Z-targeting would nice, but they really just need to give us a bit more of a challenge with some better enemy AI and bosses.

Yeah, I guess what I really meant was it was the first time Zelda kinda broke with its "theme", changing from a more medieval setting to one of sea and islands and pirates.
Id have to agree that the WM+ has great potential to be used with the next Zelda title, I really hope they take advantage of it while keeping the control from becoming too awkward, like we have seen happen in several multi-gen series (ssx for example)
[QUOTE="dotWithShoes"]What I'd love to see in a newZelda g ame would be cell shading like Prince of Persia :)snover2009
PLEASE, NO MORE CELL SHADING, NEED REALISTIC VISUALS.
