Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Roster+Character Predictions

I thought it'd be fun to make a thread where we could talk about who we think is going to be in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. There's supposed to be over 20 characters in the final roster, I'm guessing there'll be around 24 to compete with Mario Kart Wii. I tried to find the best pics I could, but some characters don't seem to have pics from the game yet.

So far the confirmed characters are,

Sonic

Tails

Knuckles

Dr. Eggman

Amy

Shadow

Big the Cat

AiAi (Super Monkey Ball)

Amigo (Samba de Amigo)

Ryo Hazuki (Shenmue)

Beat (Jet Set Radio)

Alex Kidd (Alex Kidd)

Billy Hatcher (Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg)

Zobio & Zobiko (The House of the Dead EX)

Ulala (Space Channel 5) (Couldn't find a racing pic)

B.D Joe (Crazy Taxi)

Mii's (Considered exclusive on the Wii)

That brings the total number of playable characters to 17 so far. So that still leaves at least 3 slots open to bring the roster to 20 characters, but since there's supposed to be more then 20 there could possibly be an additional 4 more slots open. So there's still another 3-7 characters we don't know about yet. I don't think there's going to be more then 24 characters though. It's also possible that the roster could be exactly 20 characters with only the exclusive characters making it go over 20, assuming that each system gets one exclusive character making the roster 21.

Personally I'd like to see NiGHTS and Silver make it in the game. As long as I can play as NiGHTS I'll be happy. Infact it wouldn't make any sense at all if NiGHTS wasn't in the game, it'd be a very stupid move on Sega's part. And assuming that the Wii does get an exclusive character like the XBox 360 gets Banjo & Kazooie, I'd like to see Mario or Diddy Kong on the Wii too. Otherwise that's going to be messed up and unfair if only the Xbox 360 gets an exclusive character. Mii's shouldn't be considered exclusive since the XBox 360 gets avatars too plus a character.

So who are you predicting will make it in the game, or who do you think should be in it, thoughts?

You're right if the Xbox gets avatars and Banjoe & Kazooie, then the Wii should get another character too, not just the Mii's.

If the Wii does get another character, I'd like to see Mario or Diddy also.

I hope that Nights and Silver are in the game as well. I've been wanting them in the game ever since I first heard about it :P

I'd really like "Game Over YEAHHHHHh" to be in this game.

I'd also really like Segata Sanshiro to be in the game. He would ride on a giant Sega Saturn controller, and probably have a rocket as his main form of attack. And while he's in the air he can do crazy (but accurate) button combinations to all those amazing Sega Saturn games!

If he isn't in it somehow, then maybe Nei from Phantasy Star II could be in it. Or anyone but the female character from Golden Axe, including Death=Adder or the Bird you ride in. Or a Panzer Dragoon, that might be fun too.

But I certainly don't want to see Metal Sonic.

Yeah I watched that video this morning before I went to work. Too bad it's been removed due to a copy right claim made by Sega, that was fast. I guess they don't want people to know everything so soon :P

I think it's kinda weird why they're making characters playable that not many people know about. I only know about Chu Chu Rocket because they're on Sega Superstars Tennis, which I've been playing a lot lately. I have no idea who the other three are.

I mean, adding characters like these over NiGHTS is just stupid imo. NiGHTS is an awesome character, he has a pretty big fan base and a lot of people know about him. It'd make a lot more sense to have him as a playable character. I'm just really disappointed by this decision, I can't believe Sega isn't including NiGHTS.

Although I've read/heard that NiGHTS is supposed to be made playable through DLC. I don't know if it's true or not, but it better be. It's going to be hard for me to enjoy the game knowing I can't play as NiGHTS. I'm still getting the game, I think it's going to be awesome. I just know I'd enjoy it a lot more if NiGHTS was in it.

And you're right, no Metal Sonic, yay!:P
