That's pretty cool.

CryEngine needed to be modified to do what the team needed. Many developers need to change their engines to get the desired effects/features for their project. Bioware modified Unreal for Mass Effect, CDProjekt Red modified the Aurora Engine for the orginal Witcher, and etc. The game looks interesting. Maybe we'll see more at E3.
Was this even a good Idea, isn't Licensing an Engine like that for this game on that specific system just wasting money. Its not like Sonic is going to be Technically demanding or unstable.
they want their new sonic game on wiiu to look the best it can.
whats wrong with that? if it flops in sales. it shouldnt matter to us gamers.
Anyone else remember when good old EA said Wii U couldn't run CryEngine 3 back with the whole Crysis 3 shenanigans...lol good times.

Correct, Frostbite 3. CryEngine 3 has been running on Wii U since Day 1. Crytek had a version of Crysis 3 ready to go, but EA canned it. Unprecedented partnership!
@fugwit:
There have been multiple engines people have claimed cant work on Wii U, Frostbite 3, Unreal Engine 4, CryEngine 3 yet they all do.

I think they were referring to Crytek which is under EA and why Crysis supposedly got canned on WiiU.
