I think any third party characters being included in the game is incredibly stupid. Apparently Kojima was begging for Snake to be included in the game.
I think SSBB should be kept completely free of all 3rd party characters! Yes, I realize that snake has already been confirmed and others might make it in, but my opinion stands. Think about it: When the first smash bros. came out, it was an all-star cast of Nintendo greats, and it was awsome. Melee arrived, and the cast got slightly more obscure, but still Nintendo, and still great. Putting in 3rd party characters will make smash bros cease to be what it is: an all Nintendo smash-fest. It would become a random video-game clash made of characters that people just think are cool: something different entirely and, in my opinion, cheaper. KEEP SSBB PURE!
Right on! i've always said and I'll keep on saying it! ssb should stay nintendo exclusive. hell, if anyone remembers their history, sonic was created TO DESTROY nintendo! and frankly, most of the ppl here hav only played sonic through sonic adventure 2 battle or the collections. this is wut happens when ignorance and impulse take control of someone's logic. guys, please, dont kill smash brothers just for sake of it. and dont say "wut about snake? how can he get in and not sonic?" easy: metal gear is a nintendo-exclusive franchise (metal gear solid was a spin off...really good one at that). but alas, u shall continue to spew ur incomprehinsible rederick and destroy something great for the sake of fanboyism. this is exactly why developers dont read forum posts or listen to ppl about games because half the time ppl dont think.

I would prefer if SSBb just had Nintendo created characters. If SEGA wanted to do their own fighters game all the better. Then you can go for a SNK stlye super smash bros VS Sega superstar fighters 08 typle of thing. That would be incredible!
like other people have said before i really dont care anymore, there are somany threads on if sonic is in ssbb or not and am really sick of hearing it i mean am not using him, but if megaman was in ssbb i would use him, except i also think that having charcters from third party games in ssbb is pretty stupid, but what do i know am nt a video game designer.

im with you. i love sonic but with him and snake in it, it's just not nintendo. id rather have a nintendog in there fighting then a non-nintendo character.
