Looks like the PS3/360 version to me.m_machine024Same here. It may say Wii, but I think they just dropped the only available trailer they had. Regardless, while it may look better on other systems, I will get this for Wii, big Sonic fan and I like him on Nintendo.

I think you guys are right. I changed my post.
I don't think it will look that much worse anyway. If the Wii version ends up looking better than Secret Rings than I'm cool with it.this game looks fun but looks have always been decieving with sonic games. especially in the last 8 years or so. Last sonic game I truly loved was sonic adventure for dreamcast. i bought the gc port when it came out those 4 years ago or something. i love that game to death and wished they would've stuck with that type of format and great music.
but 2d/3d mix aint bad i guess. i just hope the game is good. and i'm glad its just sonic this time and not 4-5 other characters to choose from.
The Wii version will be the funnest regardless of the graphics.xNJN
The same goes for Call of Duty 3, Madden, Guitar Hero, and a few others:roll: However, there is one multiplatform game that I am looking forward to on the Wii more than the 360 or PS3, and that is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

based on what? It will probably play the same on all platforms.
I wish that developers would at least try to make wii games look good, it will probably look just like the PS2 version
From Ign:

EDIT: Kotaku says its official and has a little bit more info about the game
As others have pointed out, that's not the Wii footageJaysonguyYeah, but no matter what system, it wont save it from being mediocre. Lately Sonic games have been disappointments.
I don't understand why people say Sonic doesn't work in 3d when Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast was gold. Instead of trying to change it(Sonic Adventure 2/Sonic Heroes/ Sonic 2005), they should have just reused that formula and build upon it.
Kind of like how Mario Galaxy built upon Mario 64.
I am skeptical about this game knowing Sonic Team's reputation in the last several years regarding the Sonic franchise. Almost everything Sonic it touches has been mediocre or disappointing. Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity is the recent case.
It better have an average score of 8.0 or above, or else I will not buy nor rent this game. I have high standards in gaming.
Personally I think this takes the two best Sonic game in the last 3 years (Rush and Secret Rings) and combines them. From the looks of it it isn't that bad. Remember the truck chase in SA2? That'd be a perfect part for an on rails portion. And the story seems better than Secret Rings (OMG! GENIESSS!) and the Day/night thing might be cool to. Melee combat is old for sonic (Shadow had it, it SUCKED) but it will probably be only for the "were" sonic. All in all it looks promising but I'm not reserving it just yet. But the robots look cool.
