you may need to be a little bit more open-minded about gaming in general if you really want to have fun with a Wii. If you're looking for blood, you won't be getting a lot of games right off. Maybe a half a dozen. Red Steel, Resident Evil 4, the WWII shooters and Manhunt.
There's so much more to gaming than mature games though. Rent a few puzzle games or platformers. It's a different kind of fun.
Good luck and have fun!
Well, as the title sais, I am a sony gamer and I might buy a Wii but is it worth? And what games are good, and I mean more mature games cause I don't really like those kid games.Serchant

Why do you want to get one? I know you want more mature games but there must have been something else that got you to thinking about it.
As for mature games, re4 Wii Edition is great, Manhunt will be coming, I hear No More Heroes is going to be bloody, Splinter Cell Double Agent is for Wii too. There's also the Godfather and Scarface. Though most of those choices have already been listed. Metroid is a great title, if you get a Wii at least rent it, you might like it a lot. Brawl will be a great title when it comes out as well, if you like fighting games that is. You could even use Snake from Metal Gear Solid if you haven't heard and if you like him.
If you already bought a PS3, you probably have enough for a Wii. :P
I'm going to have to second the notion of Wii not being a proper fit if you are only interested in "mature" games. That's not to say there isnt a lot of fun to be had with the Wii, but you have to be willing to broaden your horizons.Zero_Space
Exactly. Mp3 is the kind of game I could play over and over because of the controls. they really are immersive.
I'm a confessed sony fanboy - I bought a Wii a few weeks ago and I love it, played it more than my PS3 of recent actually.
I say if you can find one and have the money - GET IT! Then, get all of the Metroid Prime games to play on it. It's the perfect console to go along with the PS3 - you get INSANE graphics and action on the PS3, and the Wii provides everything else, but with more interactivity to the games.
You're all forgetting Mortal Kombat.
Ps. I'm a Nintendo gamer wondering if it's worth getting a PS3. Is it?

Totally worth it. Like I said in my previous post, each console complements the other nicely in my opinion. I used to say 'get a 20 GB model and upgrade the hard drive', but now I'd say wait till the holidays, we may see a drop to 400 for the PS3 - at least those of you who haven't bought one yet can hope.
Yes I think maybe looking into the "Kid" games because alot of them some of the best out, but if you really want a more mature game then I would say Metroid Prime 3you may need to be a little bit more open-minded about gaming in general if you really want to have fun with a Wii. I think its worth it, especially given the price. Wii imo is the closest thing that has come to capturing the feel of the nes and snes days. Though at the moment there is a drought in games, but that happens with all systems. A few games that I look foward to are:
Soul Calibur Legends
Victorious Boxers
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Mario Kart Wii
No More Heroes
One huge downside to Wii is the lack of online capabilities i.e no voice chat and the friends code. There is no excuse for that and those can be addressed in the future but so far they have not. Nintendo has this need to want to breast feed every gamer instead of letting them choose for themselves. When Nintendo gets out of that mentality then their online problems will be solved. The Wii online capabilties has a lot of potential, its just up to Nintendo to realize that.
well RE4 is definality the best RE4 on any console
and manhunt 2 , no more heroes , scarface , godfather , METROID PRIME 3 , red steel , call of duty 3 , red steel 2 , disaster day of crises , RE umbrealla chronicles , medal of honor heroes 2 ( 32 online mutiplayer) ,
and you can never go wrong with the legendary zelda and mario no matter how ' hardcore" you may be
