I didn't see any stickies on this, so I wanted to know; Should I get the 3DS, should I wait for more games, or is it a bad buy? I was looking at some unboxing videos, launch videos, etc. and some people said that it wasn't really something they would pick up everyday, more something that they would use in waiting room, kind of like cheap phone games I guess. I don't know if the games were bad or anything of the sorts. So far I've seen the 5 (or 6?) games out for it, and they don't look too enticing, besides SF4. I'm not really a big fan of the Mario games, I mean, I'll play them every now and then, but it's not something I'd be sucked into too much, same goes for Kirby. Never really liked Nintendo games alot (LoZ Ocarina of Time was good, though). I'm more a fan of Square Enix games (Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, etc.) and RPG's and i heard that they were bringing out both for 3DS, but those are just 2 games, right? So my question (finally!) to YOU, 3DS Gamers:), should i buy THE 3DS? It LOOKS pretty good and I heard it's backwards compatible with other DS games, and I'm looking for something I'd play often when I'm not at home, but is it really worth my money?

My 3DS is sitting in its box because i never played games with it. I would wait until more games come out.

Maybe you should just wait until there are more good games available. I don't think the 3DS's launch was very ideal, even for your average Nintendo fan. I'd say wait until at least June since Ocarina of Time and Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D come out then. Also, check out some pictures of Kid Icarus: Uprising. That game doesn't come out until like late this year but it looks great and is up there as far as my most anticipated titles go. I don't have a 3DS yet but it's only because I can't yet afford it and plus there are only like 2 games out that look interesting. Hope this helps you decide.

The 3DS is a great system, but the question is, do any of the currently available games appeal to you? If yes then go ahead and get a 3DS. If no then wait until there's something you want to play. However, since it is backwards compatible, and if you're planning to get one anyway, there's really no harm getting it now and having fun with the new features and built-in software while you wait for this summer's releases.

Obviously you're a JRPG fan. I think maybe you should wait to get one. Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, a Final Fantasy title, a Dragon Quest title, Tales of Abyss and a handful of other RPG's are in the works for the 3DS but will be released later this year or early next year.

Just wait. It's not really worth it as this point especially if you have a DS already. Wait to see what gets announced at E3, and by that time Zelda will be out too.

Surely the RPG's are coming. All I know I'm getting one this month, didn't even feel concerned when people started spreading that doomsday nonsense. The games are coming. Just think about other platforms when they got released and your minds will settle.

It's Nintendo. The 3DS is off to a slow start, but you can bet your boots they'll start to gain some momentum soon. I'd say wait a bit, see if anything interests you down the line.
