You should research this, but i heard some guy on OT talked about how he dried a wet cell phone in a bowl of rice...something like that. I wouldn't recommend doing that until after you researched this.

Rice: It's damn good food, AND saves wet electronics. :)

Don't do steamy rice. You realize rice absorbs water? So if you've got a sponge which is already soaked, how do you expect it to take much more water? The best way to do it is to just put it in a bowl of dry rice.

Is there a repair shop you can bring it to? Or just give it a day or two to dry out I guess and then see what happens ( don't blow dry it anymore ).

Putting it on the charger is something you shouldn't do. Electric currens and water will make this problem even worse.

I believe that is correct. But the best option is to go get it fixed by a professional or ask your friend if he had a warranty on his DSi, but I doubt that a lot of people would have that anyways.

Warranties don't cover water damage. If tried with so many electronics. My old phone got wet when I jumped in the pool with it, and theres this little white sticker on electronics that, when they come in contact with water, turn red. I tried with my iPod Touch as well but they had a little white sticker(now red) hidden up the earphone jack. And the DSi has one under the battery and on the battery. The best option here is to see if it still works after drying it. And if it doesn't, send it into Nintendo and they'll fix it for around $50-$75.

Rice huh? I knew orange peels did the trick, never knew about rice. I'd let it rest extensively before charging it up. If there's still any residu of water, you can short circuit and blow a fuse, which will ruin your DS.

I have heard of the rice trick before and that is what he is doing. Orange peels dont seem like they would work... it seem like they would make it worse...
