I have had every nintendo system since the NES(accept micro, lite) and i havnt had one problem, i think nintendo puts out great quality.mitchconlinIt's only the new ones I've had problems with that I know I didn't do. The first GC was from a pawn shop and the second one my little brothers played with all the time, so they might have done it, but with the Wii and the DSlite breaking, seems to go along with nintendo's new "make it look better" thing. I'm going to request getting a different color this time and hopefully that one has no problems, but still. The original DS worked fine until the Lite came out :|
How about the thought that these are people that work for sony and make the hinge cracks and everything seem worse than they actually are?Xx_King_Beef_xXWhy would I be on GS if I worked for sony? :?
My friend did that when he was playing Phoenix Wright. >__> I was kinda mad at him... I assure you it's not mistreatment though! :(One of my friend's hinges cracked because some people think its funny to hit the screen like some basketball. His hinge has a chunk missing from it.
My DS lite on the other hand is perfectly fine.

All the other ones I thought it was becuase I droppped it or something, but this one I haven't dropped even once. The only conclusion I can come up with is from playing metroid, but I NEVER had that problem with the original DS. Is there anything to do except send it in to nintendo? Waiting 2 weeks to fix this stupid thing for the 5th time is driving me nuts! To top it off 3 GC's and my Wii are broken too :cry:5 DS's, 3 GC's, and a Wii... Ouch...
Before you go all "lol u abuse teh systemz!" then let me say that I have an X-box, a PS2, and a PSP and none of them have broken before. Either I do abuse them and the nintendo ones can't handle it while the others can, or nintendo just has faulty manufacturing. This sucks -_-

I don't even remember typing that. I was pretty hammered last night. lol
Why would I be on GS if I worked for sony? :?"Maybe nintendo dosen't like white people. >.>"
Anyway, I'm hoping to get a new color after I send it in this time since only me and my mom's white ones have problems. My little brothers black one is fine. Does anyone know nintendo's policy on that?

Don't worry about it, I expected alot of comments like that after the thread I made about the Wii getting disk read errors, so I was prepared to weed through a bunch of responses like that.wow, this topic made me realize that i have owned every nintendo system except for an SNES,
ive even gota Famicom edition Micro sitting in front of me, and i bought a used n64 awhile back so i could play perfect dark. (system, 20 great games, 20 dollars, eat my heart out VC)

Maybe someone you live with has been playing it. Sometimes people who don't play games alot are super hard on their controllers (or handhelds). They get all tense and give it all they got on the buttons.
But if you live alone that's just weird.

I do not live alone, though my family all has DS's (and now DSlites) so I can't figure out who would be playing it without me knowing....

my Wii getting disk read errors* >__> STOP LAUGHING AT ME! *throws toothpick at you* :cry:It's crazy just how much trouble are having with not only faulty units but consecutively faulty ones, what the hell is Nintendo doing?Articuno76I think the problem is with nitnendo's repair service, since my brothers' DSlites are fine, and only my mom's has the hinge crack. My launch DSlite took a while before it broke, but all the ones I get back are breaking in a much shorter period of time, save one of them which lasted 3 months.

They should just send new ones back as replacements, at this rate it is probably costing them an arm and a leg to keep sending faulty units back and forth.

How old is this subject..... I have had 15 different Nintendo systems break, I am a careful with my stuff and I don't throw them around.
In case you haven't seen this x-play experiment where they try to smash the three last gen consoles check out the link below.
Nintendo vs the others
Nintendo makes stuff to take a beating. Like the typical counter argument goes I have had a NES, SNES, Gamecube, GameBoy and DS Lite and have never had a single problem. Except dust needing to be blown out of the NES and I have thrown/ kicked some of them around.. Either these people have some of the worst luck ever, or they a as someone else said working for the competition.
