I was a fan of the series and I truly think its one of my favorite fighting series, 3rd to Smash Bros. and Street Fighter.

Anyway, it's not coming to Wii and that makes me sad. The unfortunate spinoff for the Wii is disappointing at best and I really hope they get around to porting this to Wii at some point, with only the graphics being a casualty.

I agree about SC4, it's my number one fighting game and really the only game I am truely very good at.

My main question is, SCIII was such a down wash, I wonder if the new one is going to be any better.

If you want to play certain franchises you need to buy certain hardware.

There is no way around this.

I wasn't too upset that I wasn't getting a good Soul Calibur game. I was disappointed. B

But then.... it happened. The most dreadful piece of info. that made me slam my fist on the keyboard which almost broke. 5 words were all that were needed. "Yoda and Darth Vader confirmed."

Yeah I understand the incongruency thing with the graphics. That's fine and all, but a slightly stripped port wouldn't hurt. As far as the Yoda vs. Vader thing... I did not see that coming. That is just way out there. Interesting but still... Whoa?

Same here. When I saw that SC IV was in development and that Yoda and Darth Vader were confirmed as playable characters, I almost screamed out loud of joy.

But then I saw that it was PS3 and 360 only and a piece of me died.

Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast was awesome and Soul Calibur 2 was cool with Link, but really, do we need more? I'm actually bored with that series. Has it really changed all that much aside from the visuals? If I feel the need I'll just play either of the first two.

I'm not sad about not having it on the Wii at all. I doubt I'll even rent it for my 360.

Agreed.
IMO, the first game on DC was awesome, it was so far ahead of just about everyone. SC2 was just more of the same, and didn'y carry the same kind of drasticly high level quality the first game showed. SC3 made it official that this series was ntohing more than an arcade game. I'm not even looking at SC4.

You know, now that I think about it that kinda makes sense. I heard there were some balancing issues in 3 and I'm sure that 4 will be good, but good enough to warrant purchasing another system? We shall see. ;)

Soul Caliber 2 came out on the gamecube with Link as an exclusive character and it was great!!!!!! I've always thought it would still continue on.... but it didn't. Soul Caliber 3 came and went on the ps2 and now Soul Caliber 4 is on the 360 and ps3. This really sucks!!!! I would love to continue playing the Soul Caliber series on my wii!!!!:D

This is how I feel also. I'm not too bummed out about it (anymore). The second and first games are the best in the series anyways...
