soulsilver trick to catching luigio?

ok for last 3 days or so i put in about 4hours trying catch luigio. he killed his self few times by struggleing so i reset it and try again.

i drop his hp to 1 with false swip.

i flash him few times

i throw ultra balls at him

i tried few great balls, netballs, peform(something) balls

no good.

any tricks/tips? I want this fool

Try a status effect such as sleep or paralysis. That should help.

Weaken Lugia to red area or 1 hp with false swipe

put sleep or paralysis

keep throwing ultra balls until you get it

Dusk Balls > Ultra Balls on Lugia. It's in a cave after all IIRC.

Seriously, just use Dusk Balls, put it to sleep, and lower its HP. There's nothing else to it, you're just unlucky.

EDIT: Also, flash doesn't do ANYTHING at all for catching Pokemon. Stop wasting turns using it.

Poke Balls. I caught all my legends with the standard ball, and trust me I tried all the other ones too. I don't know why but for some odd reason I was able to catch all of them with Poke Balls. PROFIT??????F0urTwenty

looks like they changed it after platinum it used to be 4x

On Fire Red I caught Articuno with full HP with a Pokeball :D as soon as the battle started I just throw it and that was it :D
