So...will there be a virtual console for the DSi?

The DSi Ware is great, but is it confirmed whether there is or isn't a virtual console coming?

I heard that it is, and that it isn't.

Reggie Fils-Aime said in a interview with Wired, that the concept of Virtual Console on DSi is not something that they've talked about. Whether or not that means there won't be one remains to be seen. But going by what his comment on what he wants developers to produce for DSiWare, which was that they "don't want to see games that don't take advantage of the unique capabilities of the DS", I don't think it's very likely that we'll see any old Game Boy games on the DSi.

Even with Reggie's most recent comments, I'm still personally convinced there will be a virtual handheld.

Yeah, I still feel that they will eventually. Maybe not make as many games as the Wii's virtual console, but I still think they will.

I wouldn't rule it out...
