speed racer vs. Mk

Its interesting this combat racing style game is being released so close to MK. While MK has the following to go with it, speed racer looks like it offers a lot more speed and spicier visuals. However, there has been little publicity with speed racer. Anyone have any thoughts? The video I've seen of speed racer looks like it might be annoying cause cars are crashing into you every 10 seconds. But then again, I keep gettting killed when in first place in MK also.

it's a movie game. and i saw a video of it and some characters voices pop up all the time with some annoying lines and it would piss anyone off. looks kinda fun to play though

In general if the game is based on a movie it is crappy :?, if the movie game after the game then the game is often good (good enough to warrent a film tie in).

I can only comment on MK and that is to say it is the best I have played in the series, I found it hard to adjust back to the Wii and MK after playing my 360 a lot and at first I was unsure about MK because to be honest it looks ugly compared to PGR :lol:. However after an hour or so my eyes adjusted and I started to look past it and really get into the game, and this game blows away every other racer I have played this gen on any platform as far as I am concerned.

Kind of. It was originally annouced during the movie The Wizard. And that's how it began. So it's kind of movie game.

there was a movie that was released before smb3 about it, but i would not use it as an argument.

Some game si would of used are.... LOTR, Star wars (some games), James bond games. but yest most games from movies suck

Movie games are games based off of movies, while The Wizard was a movie made to hype SMB3.

From what I've seen, Speed Racer Wii looks a lot like Star Wars: Episode I: Pod Racing for the N64. Based on a movie as well, that was a very solid game that really captured a sense of speed. Loved it, brings back some good memories playing with friends all night.
