I gotta be honest. I'm in the same boat as you. As much as I am hoping the controls for the Wii game are going to rock, I'm going to have to pass.
I'm going to get the 360 version. I know the controls will be tight, the grpahics will be tight, and the downloadable/xbox live features will rock.
well the game will prolly be sick on both
but u kno most people who only have wii(like me) are gonna say get it on wii cuz of the new way of controlling the game which will be fun
and the people who only have xbox are gonna say get it on 360 cuz of the graphics
so if i had both i'd be wondering too
I am about to get a wii and own a 360. I am getting it for the 360 because of graphics.i own both consoles and was wonderin which one you would buy it for. For the wiis innovative controls and new storyline or the 360 graphics!

You know there is another system called the Playstation 3, right? I hope you all didn't forget, I guess it's just 360 for achievements, and Wii for innovation. PS3 for...nothing? I guess so. Why discuss about if your going to get it on the 360/Wii (since the PS3 one is gone, I guess, from this perspective.) Shouldn't you post it in the General Games Discussion, or maybe just ask if your going to be the Nintendo Wii version? Since this is the Nintendo Wii discussion forum.gtx-1Yea but who is interested in playstation 3.

Not at all. It's more of a general game discussion topic.
And I would go with the 360 version, for the achievements and better graphics. The wii controls seem a little iffy to me.
I don't mean to offend anyone, but who the hell cares about acheivment points.. I mean seriously, do "acheivement" points sound "fun" ... BUT i'll still agree that this is a rough decision... the best thing to do would be to look at each side carefully.... the Xbox360's definetly gotten some powerful and impressive graphics, and people who've played it (other game companies simular to gamespot) say that you can't truly notice the difference in it and the ps3... unless your hella picky, or want to see spidermans reflection on a subway train going by... but other then super small minor differences they're basically the same graphically, allthough I was only using the ps3 as a reference because I guessed it would help clarify how nice it looks.... but other then looks, you have an extremely large city with the main mission, and a few more "achievements" of course the controls with this version will be extremely easy to master, creating an overall "fun" game...
on the other hand we have the Wii... which was built from the ground up with the wii in mind... they have two new villians as well as another gang or so... also they have the whole CSI system (not the show csi) which generally is a system that always occurs, genereally gangs are always fighting eachother for power and such, which you can literally see happening if you watch, BUT if you don't try to "keep the streets clean" then the whole city changes, such as cracked sidewalks, newspapers everywhere , and genereally the city looks like one of the old school 1980's movies when the cities of the "destroyed future" had guys with mohawks and streets that looked like hell, or genereally if you don't keep the streets "clean" you'll definetly notice it.... the wii's crime thing, also involves other gangs fighting for the cops "territory" and things, and it's up to you to literally do whatever you want, but if you decide to clean up an neighborhood or the city as a whole, then you'll definetly notice it... and seeing this is a constant everlasting thing, it gives the game one hell of a lot of replay value... or rather value in itself, ( you don't have to replay it just to enjoy that never ending "minigame".....or as one of the creators said, your in a city, that has five ai teams and you having something simular to a "mini RTS type of game within this larger game"
also on the wii version theres the whole blacksuit whenever the hell you feel like looking cool thing... which in my oppinion, kicks "achievement points" strait in the balls...
now comes the thing that may be a letdown or a plus depending on how lazy or simply what mood you typically play these types of games in... which is the controls, your right hand is your right in the game and your left is your left, as far as web slinging/using your web goes.... so you flick your wrist while holding b to make spidey do it with his right... then you let go and use your left hand, or you could just keep using your dominent hand and have him swinging through the city with one hand....one of the creators or people who helped in building the game thought that this game wasn't going to be that great for the wii, until after he started working with the system... he said he realized what the wii was all about then, and essentially "rediscovered fun".... it wasn't just a mindless game, rather it was something that had him comeing to work excited.... also theres things such as putting both your hands out, (or simply pressing down both web buttons) and then when you have someone you can do the rodeo thing or simply whip them to you and press a or actually move the controller to give a devastating uppercut... which I feel may feel satisfying....or at least more satisfying them pressin a button... this game supposedly captures you... which will be something I'm ready to see... and seeing that the city will be just as large as the 360 version... (and seeing that the city is twice as large as spiderman 2, and I'm pretty sure that's NOT including the sewers) I feel that it would definetly be something to see...
another thing the 360 has that the wii doesn't have though is over 200 npc's walking through newyork streets, so you'll rarely see the same citizen model walking past the same type of person.... to me personally the wii has more to offer, allthough when you get the chance, you could get them both, but definetly start out with the wii... I'm not a fanboy, cause I normally hate what the wii's doing to itself, but these people working on the game for the wii, have put A LOT into it, and may give me hope tha tthe wii could still be a great system
im no ps3 fanboy, but the ps3 will have a comeback. probably when some must-have title comes out.
btw this belongs in system wars

wtf are you talking about, no this doesn't belong in system wars, and what the hell does the ps3 have to do with anything... the kid wants to know which system he should buy a game for because each system has something different inside of THE GAME to offer, so he wants a public oppinion to help inform him/others with a simular case with this decision he's making, so he wants to know which game will more then likely be "the one" to buy... so shutup
