Should I get Spiderman 3 for the Wii It looks good and It sounds good but most game reviewers don't like it. If you have this game would you recomend buying it? I can't rent it first because no where near me lets me rent Wii games.

Thanks

If you do decide to get, rent it first so you can discover for yourself how crap it is before you waste your money on that crap.

I didn't like it very much... I would vote that you shouldn't get it.

For myself, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Of course, there are the glitches and some graphical anomalies, but it looks good when you're not on top of the highest buildings, the missions are repetitive but somehow still fun, and swinging around at high speeds is fun even when not doing any missions in particular. The combat can suck IF you don't vary up your moves. Although you can just dodge over an enemy and wail away on him and repeat, there is some element of strategy in that you can't take hits like a tank, thus if you don't divide up the enemies from each other, you'll take a lot of damage from nearby opponents as you take on another. Combat gets interesting as you use the many ways to separate or disable enemies to strategically take down the larger groups.

It is, as many have said, a love it or hate it game, thus the many many 'rent it first' comments. I bought it and am highly satisfied with it. I do realize, however, that it could be much better.

Every single legitimate review has said the game is complete garbage.  Yet you say it looks and sounds good?  What are you basing this on?  Even the biggest Spiderman fans are saying the graphics suck and the game as a whole sucks.

I have a brilliant idea! Buy ten copies of it, and then maybe, just maybe, you'll enjoy it.

It probably wont drop that quickly. It is selling reasonably well, licenced games allways do, despite them usualy being totaly rubbish.

You should definitely rent it first.  It may be fun for a few hours but it gets tiring quickly.

Personally I'd definitely recommend this game. Basically everything has been improved from Spider-man 2, which is already a great game.

Yeah. I'm a HUGE Spider-Man fan, and this game was a complete disappointment in my eyes. It takes less than 6 hours to go through the entire story. After that's done, you can take over neighborhoods from different gangs, but it's not really fun or worth your time.

That's all just my opinion, though.

^Actually as well as the main story there's defeating the gangs, completing the challenges/trick races, fully levelling-up spidey, taking the enemy photos and collecting all the meteorites and spider tokens. So there's quite a bit more to do after the story mode than there was in SM2. The story mode in SM3 is about 48% of the game so if you stop after the last chapter you'll miss out on a lot of the game.

All of the other stuff, especially fighting the gangs, is so repetitive and really has no point, IMO. It's not very fun.

I guess it depends what type of gamer you are.

I guess you should rent it first...

But it's WAAAYYY underrated in my mind.

Short story and graphics that aren't ultra-mecha photo realistic, "oh what a problem!" no.

It's great.

And when you beat the story mode, you can still get the collectibles.

And maybe try to destroy gangs. That's fun! (I've gotten the Dragon Tails down!)

So it's good.

And Hi, I'm new here.
