I know this sounds a lot like my last post...but if you have beaten The Conduit, then you know there HAS to be a sequel, right? I mean look at that ending! You walk into a conduit (portal) and....end. But that's not all...it shows flashes of images. Are these flashes of the sequel, where you will go? Mr. Ford can't just end his adventure there, in the middle of the unknown! Also, it leaves with Adams and an unknown Drudge voice having a conversation, which makes you mentally suffer even more! It's driving me crazy! At least if there is one, (which there better be) then we know that it gives them a chance to fix all the online problems they had in the first one.

It certainly ended in a cliffhanger, but that doesn't mean there will be a sequel. The first one sold poorly. High Voltage has to find a publisher to fund the project and Sega has already pulled most of their support for the system.

Oh I remember. The Conduit had probably the single most unsatisfying ending of any video game I've ever played in my life. Honestly, unless High Voltage can pull off something like what Red Steel did in the assumption that its sequel is far better and is a great game, I think it's just best that The Conduit stays dead. Except Ubisoft has actually made good titles for their different franchises, and well...I've yet to play a game I liked from the HVS library.

The Conduit is an incomplete tech demo that bombed in sales and didn't even garner a very great critical reception. Sure, The Conduit's ending is unfulfilling (along the lines of Halo 2), but unlike Halo 2, The Conduit is not a good game and it didn't sell well at all. HVS could turn out a much improved Conduit 2, but that still doesn't mean that it would sell, especially since The Conduit name has turned out to be quite a joke to many. However, Ubisoft has managed to attract some attention with its Red Steel 2 (although it still hasn't been released).

In my opinion, they should just ditch The Conduit and focus on more original products, namely The Grinder. I'm still not entirely convinced that this'll be the next big Wii thing, but it certainly does bring up warm memories of Hunter: The Reckoning, which incidentally is the only game series from HVS that was any good. As for HVS's other Wii game -- Gladiator AD, I have to say that it's one of the most technically impressive Wii games I've ever seen. Aliasing aside, I was so impressed by the visuals that I could've easily mistaken it for a 360 game. Too bad the game looks so generic with uninteresting and clunky gameplay. I wonder if these two games will even find a publisher at this point...

HVS already said they plan a sequel. But they have a few games to come out first that need to make them some $ before they can really do much about Conduit 2. Besides, it was a B game, but it needs the kind of art direction overhall like Red Steel 2 got, completly changed the game to make it less bland.
